The Samurai hybrid (Nobushi) and the Samurai Assassin (Orochi) need to be nerfed. The Nobushi at 1v1 to 4v4 is far too overpowered with it's range even dodging doesn't help. The Orochi needs it light attack slowed slightly as it can easily out attack even a Peacekeeper or Berserker. It seems to also have the same amount of damage output as the warden and can land 4 light attacks before the warden can even finish its own light attack.
I must admit her light attacks are pretty zany. Fighting her if difficult because her light attacks are quick and have very little tell to them due to being thrusting attacks. However, her over head light and all strong attack are comparatively weak because they're slow and/or very telling.
As for complaining about her range, I hope you realize she is using a spear. That's pretty much the purpose of a spear. Nobushi is a zoning character, if you take away her range, she is left with nothing but slow heavies and weak lights.
As for the Orochi, I haven't had much trouble with them. They're powerful, but if you can parry a single strike they fall apart because they're reactionary characters. Largely, I would tell you stop playing to your opponents strength. Get into Nobushi's range and don't use heavy attacks against an Orochi unless you're sure it wont miss. If you like the warden, try using his/her light overhead after a parry. It's one of the fastest attacks in the game, I believe.
Simply extending the animation of her left/right light attacks aren't enough to effectively balance her power. If you made them more clearly visible, it would make it easier to react.
Currently, Nobushi uses straight thrusts for left/right light attacks, but her body is often obscured in combat due to the nature of thrusting attacks. Even if the speed is the same, having her spear jut out to the side a little before the attack would help the defender recognize the attack. However, it would certainly look a little silly for a spear user to do that.
