So here is my impression so far. I have played the alpha and the beta for several hours and while it is addictive, there are several factors causing frustration.
Number one: I am not the greatest fighter, but it is apparent that the balance between characters/factions in not there.
Example: It appears that after mastering the move sets (which I still haven't done), the assassin style characters (i.e. fast maneuvering, little to no armor) have an incredible advantage. They move a lot quicker (makes them harder to hit), but seem to deal just as much damage as a knight in heavy armor. The armor rating seems to make little to no difference. So the SPEED is the ONLY deciding factor.
Number 2: The game is based on defense. With that in mind, when you interrupt a combo with a block, lets say on the second swing, it should stop the combo in its track. Otherwise what is the point of blocking. That doesn't happen! I get attacked with insane combos of the get go until I am dead, sometimes it won't even let me block a single strike(not unblockable attacks). The opponent also does not seem to run out of stamina. That needs correcting.
A better balance between SPEED, WEAPON DAMAGE, AND ARMOR RATING needs to be created. This game could be SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!! Please balance it better!

Do the parry tutorial, just blocking an attack in real life wouldn't stop a seasoned fighters combo. I do however agree that the faster classes needs their damage reduced a bit.

The Advantage of Speed always goes with the disavantage of heavy punishing if u screw up. No one is perfect and no one can predict every single move an enemy is going to perform. In your way of thinking u regard the "perfect Player without mistakes" but that doesnt exist in reality.
And im pretty sure that ist obvious that the "tanks" can take a lot more hits then the assasins.
Balance isn't the problem here, servers are. Take your chump opinions elsewhere.

The point of blocking is so you don't get hit. If the enemy is spamming attacks, it should be easy to parry them and punish.
the problem is, that it does not work most of the time. i really dont know if it is a server or input issue but parry, deflect and riposte are not working reliably. it is reduced to luck.Originally Posted by Ajahi Go to original post
maybe the time window is too short for the average player .. if THIS is the case, the game will only be played by a small,*very elite group.
I've been playing the Peacemaker Assassin mostly, and I find the heavily armored and shield bearing enemies quite tough. They have block all, are large, deal a ton of dmg to me, and can seemingly attack just as fast as I can.
Other classes also have unblockable attacks, Peacemaker has none, not sure about the other assassins.
I totally agree .very unbalanced . Please fix .also matchmaking could be better .to make it more balanced.
