Hello,
i just watn to write a short feedback from the beta till now. Use it or not
What i like:
I very much like the looks of the heroes
i very much like that you can customize the heroes. But would be nice to see which items are obtainable. So i can see my Dreamherao with his awesome looking amor and can work forward to get the items for the looks
i like the music very very much. it is beatiful minimalistic and really fits the atmosphere.
What i dont like:
bots are way too strong. I am a new player toi this whole genre. This blocking and smashing. I like to block sometime. but mainly i want to smash, without looking for all the block ****.
As i understand every character has combinations that deal massive amount of damage or give some bonus to my dmg. All these "Combos" are not easy viewable to see ingame. i have to click to many times. A bar on the button of the screen could roll all the combos that are avaible. MAybe only in Bot games. SO i can train them and muscle memery them.
Ingame voice chat does not work somehow?
Did played now for 6h maybe. I don*t want to play it any further. the graphics and sounds arent that good, that i want to play it any further. The game is way to clunky to play.
Beste regards
O.K. Im an older Gamer, But I buy and play everything. Ive got a small grp of friends I game with and we all LOVED For Honor. Then we got Beta Access.....Its so damn hard!! If your shooting for the small grp of players that like the Dark Souls Style difficulty spike you have done well but for a majority of players (All 8 of the people I know who tried it) its hard to the point of Pushing players away. I cant beat a lvl 1 AI with a lvl 4 fighter. The amount of attack you have to deal with removes any attemp you have at hitting back and leaves you to block what you can till you get smashed out. Not a fun game mechanic..Maybe its just me,And every gamer I know.....
The bots are strong for sure, but they're really not all that difficult to defeat.
Though in one brawl my teammate disconnected halfway through and the bot plowed through the enemies I had trouble with, simply for the fact that the bot had a "playstyle" that was effective against my opponents. If you're having difficulty, try to get to know the systems better to cover your bases.
Also, I imagine there will be a bot difficulty selector in the full game, because the current one in the "how to play" tab is stuck at level 0-1 instead of 0-3.
I had difficulty with the bots at first, but now I don't. Additionally, complaining about blocking attacks is silly. They're enemy heros trying to kill you to let their race survive, I think some difficulty is in order.
So to surmise, you and your 8 or so friends should try practicing more. You've clearly only played for an hour and got smacked. And yes, I have played all the dark souls games.![]()
So i retried to play this game.
In Brawl i get it to survive vs my oponent but but my bot ai dies, and then the oponent ai kills me.
Ubisoft, this is no fun.
sry for me the game is dead. i would give it a second try when they change something.
The game concept is cool and stuff, but it is way to hard to do these combos and it is way to hard to survive vs ai.
best regards
The level of your character is only progression and has nothing to do with strength, especially in duels and brawls where the stats are all baseline for an even playing field. The game is brutal at first but start off slowly. Without the story mode or any bigger tutorials, it will be a steep learning curve. Try tackling things one step at a time, learning how to block and return a blow first and then moving on to things like guard breaks and combos. Try fighting your friends for a bit, letting each other get the hang of different ideas such as switching up attacks and counters. The learning curve is probably smoothed out via the story mode which is probably more of a tutorial of the combat to get into the multiplayer. I spent about 5 hours beating up one of my mates in private matches and it really does help. We were mainly being competitive for a few of those hours and got the basics in the first one or 2.Originally Posted by lipntooth Go to original post
I also think the game is awesome, coming from a long fighting game history, it took me like 2-3 houres of gameplay to get into the core fighting mechanic. bots get pretty easy, at least the lvl1 bot. what i dont like about the game, is that there a those daily quests and some of that ask you to do some brawls or kills in dominions and so on against the AI and i dont see this beeing fun after 1-3 months of getting better and better and the AI beeing pretty pointless at some point
