I don't know-- when I first used the raider, I felt extremely powerful. I now have my Berserker up to Level 9 and still find that he succombs to attacks way to easily. I am getting better with my blocking, but I still think he is not balanced with the other characters I have tried. I am absolutely loving this game though!
agreed. level 11 berserker here. i love this character and fortunately it fits my play style perfectly. i just wish there were more rewards for flawless victories and things to power up you charcter to try and fill the gaps.Originally Posted by BobaSwet Go to original post

conquers are scary but navigate them to a wall or pitfall, $pR0f1T$
play the defense game and the outside and break their guard heavy hit, retreat $pR0F1T$
spend some time with the advanced practice menu with your favorite character and learn how to deal with the obstacles. the more i play the more i enjoy.
learn the strategy, they made things in thew game that way on purpose
I agree that the assassins are way too OP in the sense that due to a combination of speed and the fact you cant see the direction of there gaurd all other classes are at a massively unfair advantage before the match has began. Yeah i get it "supposedly" lower HP (Not that ive seen any evidence to believe it) means they need to be quick thats logical enough but when you dont even know where its comming from its rediculous, they should be a real risk vers reward characters and really hard to use, not so common that every time i go into a 1v1 that im up against one of the sodding C****. Then theres the fact some have unblockable light combos that deal more damage then a CHARGED HEAVY attack does. Then theres logic if your allowing them to be quicker then everyone they have to be weaker, not only in srikes but gaurd breaks, they should only be able to do the initial break not a stun as well. Over all i wouldnt say they have a few cards up their sleaves id go as far to say they have the whole sodding deck, befare the biggest problem of the game and if left unadressed will easily ruin it for the vast majority (not playing as the little OP B*******) other then that it a really impressive game with a epic indepth combat system, well done.
As a more or less good Orochi player (>66% winrate) I have to disagree with the OP statement.
From what I've seen most people struggle against Assassins because they don't understand their main disadvantage RANGE.
As long as you are a few steps away from an Assassin he has very limited movement options while you can still connect with most attacks.
For example with Orochi I could only connect with two moves:
- directly close the Gap with a forward Lightning Strike which is a strike from above, the default block of most people
- step back and Storm Rush to the enemy which is a strike from the side but you can see the direction already when I step back so a block is again likely
If you learn the animations you will block this consistently and you may even be able to parry which is the worst thing that can happen to an Assassin. Don't just wait for the attack indicator.
Where I have to agree is that Assassins have an advantage against Conqueror because they can completely dictate the direction and deflect each Initiate he tries. The only thing he can really do are Guard Breaks and prey the opponent isn't fast enough to sidestep or counter with his own Guard Break
and maybe Light Attacks when the Assassin isn't experienced enough to deflect them.
Peacekeeper is BROKEN. There is no "giit gud". If you have a good peacekeeper, they WILL win unless something simply better. If it's equal skill peacekeeper is op as SH**. Not only are guard blocks hard af to block, but she lands one and GG it's over. All she has to do is block, run, stab, block, over. She is broken. He bleed makes he op af. All you peacekeeper mains need to realize.
And most of the time you can't get range because these duel maps are wrong imo. The duel maps should be arenas, nothing fancy. No alleys, no bridges. There should be those ON arena maps with the chance of going there. You get two tight maps against an assassin and it's over unless you knock them off. It's ridiculous.
Ubisoft GET RID OF HER BLEED PLEASE.
I main Orochi and Warden(Mouse-key). As Orichi a can say that conqueror and warlord are not easy to take down. Multiple times they manage to go in full guard and counter with a guard break or light attack and chain a heavy attack. They can stand theys ground and simply parry when ready.
I might also mention the multiple threads that say Heavy/shield is OP. Butt what I am realy saying is that if you keep losing, try something different or... well... git gud
As Warden assassins are easily defeated.
I recommend trying to learn how to play the assassin you have issue with, the knight one has a stab move thats really poorly designed but thats the main issue along with a dodge bug that will be fixed and the spear one is outrageously strong if you get good at her. The others are not an issue at all and are weak to a majority of armoured classes and weak to stuff like the knight for example.
Seconding the idea that all of you should pick up the characters you're having trouble with.
And, as a bonus tip, Keep your distance from PeaceKeeper.
Even as a seasoned PK, When I see somebody not guarding up and away from me, I lunge. Every PK does. Hell, As PK I use it to bait other PK.
We're weak creatures in more ways than just our Health bar..![]()
generally agreed with OP the "hard" characters are faster, hit hard and just have way more options than their "easier" counter parts the only one that isnt a complete unbalanced joke is the berserker whos only more balanced in comparison to the rediculousness of peacekeeper/orochi, imo nobushi shares similar problems hes just a blisteringly fast assassin with range (lol balance?)
