After playing, for pretty much the whole day and night, i've decided that I can't help but love the game. There's a lot of skill based moves and characters that i still have to work towards mastering and still different ways to play the characters.

However i think there's still a few issues here and there that need to be addressed.

Firstly, there have been a few server related issues, getting kicked out right at the end of a game is really frustrating even more so because you don't receive anything for the fight unless it's completed, maybe a scoring system can be added, using the scoreboard obviously, to determine some kind of reward for participation if you are kicked from a game instead of leaving. You wouldn't get a match completion bonus but you'd get something at least. Luckily this doesn't seem to be a major issue as although it's happened three times, i've played dozens of games and after the two maintenances i havn't had the issue again, good job Ubisoft Tech Team!

Secondly, and i'm sure a lot of people have mentioned it already, i think a few of the characters need a little bit of reablancing or nerfing, particularly characters like Kensei, Nobushi, and Conquerer. As much as i hate to say it, as i play two of these classes a lot, i find that their attacks, skills, and damage resistances for each of these classes respectively are a little unbalanced. Kensei has a lot of easy unbreakable moves that tend to get spammed with incredible speed in games, Nobushi has some ridiculous heals, I had a game where there was only one of my friends left alive and he managed to run away, do damage, and heal up to full health for a full two minutes, against FOUR enemies. They couldn't kill him at all and the only reason that it ended was due to the timer. Lastly, and sadly for me, the Conquerer. This class is probably my favourite but he really can tank damage like no other, especially with his final skill, i've tried the Viking Heavy and he doesn't seem to have anything near that kind of Tankiness, and the shield bash move is so easy to exploit on bridged areas, so, regretfully, i think he needs a bit of a nerf too.

One major glitch that i came up against, and luckily i havn't seen again since the maintenance, was a bug where one of my friends was killed by the enemy team, and wasn't revived when they "Broke" us, because of this it created a glitch where he was seen as dead, but had actually respawned, INVISIBLE, and managed to kill the entire enemy team with them able to do nothing to stop it, his ghost literally came back and killed the whole team. Very strange, we found it hilarious at the time, but apologised the the enemy team and i told my friend to report the issue. Beta tests are always fun.

Seeing as how i complained a lot i think i should talk about some good things too.

The level of customisation in the game, and i will assume that there is more to come, is great, I love the idea that i can have 9 classes, in the Beta, that i can customise with different patterns, colours, and ornaments, and that's just the aesthetic stuff, the customisation for armour and your weapons was quite a shock to me, i really wasn't expecting that level of customisation, and when the full game comes out i'm looking forward to making some awesome looking weapons, and probably a pretty goofy looking Conquerer too. Good job Team For Honour (Should also change the games name to the British spelling, just saying.)

The combat feels very fluid, especially when playing the Samurai classes, and exceptionally viceral with the Execution moves, i can't help but feel awesome as i knock a guys head from his body with my flail, so satisfying. The guard system is pretty unique, i feel, and makes for some pretty quick on the fly movements as you try to block a fast character with a slower one, even more so when you have to fight multiple enemies at onces, something that is never going to be easy.

The game modes are fun, though i wonder if there will be any different game modes coming for the future, i'm sure i saw some other game type names when i went wandering through some of the videos in the game but they're obviously holding them back, but i'm thinking maybe a 4v4v4 or an 8v8 game type, it could get quite hectic, but would be so much fun too. Just a thought.

All in all, i'm looking forward to the full release of the game and i'll be putting a lot of hours into it. Roll on next month! But until then, i'll kill some more Knights, Samurai and Vikings in the Beta.

EDIT - I forgot to mention one other small problem, when you enter into dominion matches, the sound of battle isn't there, it should be as it's meant to feel like a battle and not like a silent movie, as fun as it is to see the poor men, who my friends and I have affectionately named; Dave, Derek and Dilan, shot by arrows or hit by boulders, it would feel more alive were there sound to it.
