Hello - I have a standard 2 Year Old RCA Cable modem from Comcast and I have noticed different upload and download times with other cable modems at the stores, So I would like to ask you guy's if anyone would know what the best Cable Modem would be to get for Hosting Games ? Thank You - JK-1

the transfer times are, most likely, not a function of the modem itself but of the amount of traffic in the area. Cable modems share bandwidth with everyone in the neighborhood (how large the "neighborhood" is depends upon your cable company). The less people on the line, the faster the transfer will be. You could try various manufacturers but I sincerely doubt you'll see any difference in performance.

Most cablemodems in service in the US now comply with the Docsis II standard, no matter who makes it.
As posted earlier, assumimg all is well with your connection, congestion on the server wil be the limiting factor.
