I sent my friend an invite to the game, but he hasn't recieved it through email.

You could try making a email and sending it to that and then if you get the email send your friend the code.

My brother has done the exact same thing, sent out 3 invites and only 1 of the 3 received an email with a code the other 2 seem to have disapeered in to the ether.
