and to be fair up until a few weeks ago that shoryuken joke would have legitimately applied to SF5 lol. DP, DP, and more DP... DP's for everyone!
Agree with Icemasta, at this late stage with release only weeks away, any changes made will be small or easy, nothing major. I do think this has the makings of a great game, the concept is entirely engrossing, but I don't know that I feel the mechanics and depth are here. I say that based solely on what content is in the beta, and I know there is a single player campaign mode and more heroes, so that might help, but I cannot say for sure. I kind of think it needed more time personally.
Sorry to hurt you're feelings, but the blocking mechanic is great*.. maybe ur just bad at it![]()
the major problem i see now is that the whole game is basically a beautiful looking quicktime event, with some combos and classes that are not optional if you want to succeed.
there is no real way of "play what you want", you have to play certain classes and spam certain things to win. this is nearly impossible to balance without every charakter feeling the same.
might be a fun game to play from time to time, but it sure is no full-price title.
If you have no desire to play this "garbage" than why are you still on the forums? Looked like all you did was say what was bad without any insight into how you would like to see things so that the devs can try to do something about it.Originally Posted by The.Daigo.Parry Go to original post
Anyway, I for one have little complaints about this game. I mean I too would like to see dedicated servers, but that isn't a thing, so get over it. This game takes time to get used to and to learn all of the ins and outs, and if you are playing against someone with a greater understanding of the heroes than you, take that chance to learn yourself. This isn't a mindless game in the slightest.
Also, this CBT was for hero balance and network testing above most things, not so much for the game modes or whatever else you may have thought it was for. Also, this only a part of what we will see on release, there will be more modes, and 4v4's without soldiers, so cheer up there.
As far as having to play certain heroes to succeed, as the game tells you when you first launch it, it's a beta will some balance problems. From what I've seen I'v been able to beat any other hero while playing as any hero. Maybe that's just me, but with the the exception of a few things that are most assuredly gonna be changed, I had no issue with fighting those players who spam.
controls couldn't even be more simpler.
for blocking there can be added a flick system. which would not be as effective as a parry but you won't get any damage even if it's an revene mode heavy attack.
as for the experience it's great so far. none of the other games at this category comes close to be as intense, exciting, fun and sucking you into it but it lacks content.
for me this is a battlefiel 1 senario. it looks good, feels new, hell lots of fun, it has better mechanics but afterall there is not much to do.
to be more precise of how i feel about this game and to explain bf1 senario more deeply. i ran to a store to buy bf4 because i knew it had content, it was going to be fun, there was going to be tons of dlcs to add on game, and it would be a longlasting game for me. i played beta of bf1 its a good fps after all but not what i had expected still i had so much fun with my friends. played 10 hour trial both on pc and xbox. great cinematic story, it gets better with 3d. multiplayer lacks content and it get an update that i would look into recently. didn't bought the game when it had %50 discount. and i still play bf4 if i find a server that i like.
plus all the connection issues i had 2 weeks before lunch date im not buying this game until it desrves the price i will pay for it.
