I have supported ubisoft through some terrible experiences, but now I am done. For honor was easy to download and access and the concept of the game and graphics are wonderful, but the gameplay, especially the blocking, (which never seems to work), is awful. On top of that the email says invite friends and I sign in and there is nowhere to invite anybody. It should be really simple but it isnt. I'm doing the face to face on easy and it is very difficult to learn when this is medium at best. Easy should be a learning experience, not getting my *** handed to me every time. I defended you guys with the division, which I'm still waiting for all my add on content, but I can't anymore. I will not be buying this game and I will not be buying wildlands unless something changes. I was soooooo stoked for this game and I am plenty dissapointed.
I find the defenses are fine, blocking, parrying, and dodging all work, but they are very precise, so if there is any lag or an ally smacks you in Dominion, it'll be no go. What I find annoying is that in Dominion, its a kill steal fest, where all anyone wants to do is get the kill on enemy heroes, and the friendly fire adds to this obnoxiousness. I hate my teammates in this mode. Its not well designed to encourage working together, its more designed to make you want to avoid one another and spread out so you might have something resembling a good fight with one of your opponents. This drives me nuts, also the light, fast characters seem completely at a disadvantage, as they are all glass with no cannon. Maybe some of the hero imbalances smooth out as you get levels and gear, but woof, Vanguards all have it sweet compared to the light heroes.
Worst gaming experience of my life.
Too much propaganda for a gameplay that is way too complex for a 100% online game.
I have already deleted and I will never buy this game.
The controls are entirely to complicated, the block is seriously slow or doesn't work, the enemy block seems to be amazing though. Even though this is a beta, not even considering purchasing the game at this time. Your trailer is more impressive than the gameplay.
First of all; it's a beta. You are helping them test things. You need to align your expectations with the beta you are experiencing. You can't buy it yet because not everything is done and working as intended. So expect snags. I'm sitting here writing this because I can't play right now because I'm getting an, as of yet, unsolved error code. This is part of the beta process.
Secondly; blocking works fine. You are playing a game with a learning curve that has many nuances and a great deal of depth that you need to learn. The only way you are going to get better is to play and grow. You will not instantly be good. No matter how good you think you should be. That's going to take time and you're going to die. Probably a lot. But it makes it all the more rewarding as, you get better, you do less dying and far more killing. It's for people who enjoy games like that. You don't sound like one of them. Everybody is not going to be disappointed because most people who are going to play this are people who enjoy fighting games, strategy games and other games that require thought process, critical thinking, and skill. Again; you don't sound like one of them. I've played all the alphas and the technical tests and the majority of people don't even know how to parry people. An integral part of the game that plenty of people just ignore. They play dominion and run around mashing heavy attack. This is not the game for them.
@Darksavior The idea of Dominion in my opinion is not to have two deathball squads running around "working together". It's to have individual heroes in integral places on the map that can then "work together" to hold the entire map. It's not TDM. There is an object and that's the goal. Getting kills helps with this but it's not the goal. The better you get, the less the "glass cannons" are a problem, and more quick kills because they have low health =)
If you think this is the "worst gaming experience ever" then you really need to play more games.
The game is fine. The controls are not too complex. As the poster above just said.. there's a learning curve. Just practice.
This is a competitive online game, if it was not so complicated it would not be fun. There will be nothing to master.
No offense but, if you are looking for a simple multiplayer game, there are a lot of shooter out there; they are almoust all the same so, yeah, they are pretty simple i suppose.
I think you shouldn't assume that just because he doesn't enjoy the game means it's because he's bad. I understand this is a beta, and things will change, but I don't really want to spend three days playing a game that is unfairly balanced. Having a two-second delay between pressing Space and Rolling is not an intentional feature. I understand it's a beta, but I don't see a point in spending my time playing this game and supporting it if it just makes me mad with enemies that know which was my mouse has moved and instantly change their block. Maybe these problems will be fixed in the full game. But for me, there's no point in playing this anymore.Originally Posted by LordoftheBewbs Go to original post
Guys, this game has all the making of an incredibke game... I see people complaining about the block... are you using a dual welding player? Because if you are you have to actively block everytime, not be lazy. As far 100% online, the beta is, but from what I understand there will be a campaign mode offline also. This is a beta guys come on... the fighting platform is new and different than what we have played on in the past, it's not supposed to be pick it up and master it right away easy... for people who play alot and have probably done beta before, y'all wine alot... get over it. Learn a new platform style. Upgrade your character and level up before you write this game off... I got my *** handed to me for 5 hours until I started to figure it out, slowly but surely... as far as it being a kill steal game... maybe you should choose who you play with. That's not the developers fault... don't blame the game. Y'all are picking it apart like it's a final output and like it's impossible to learn and master... Jesus y'all are throwing it away before it even hits the 12 hour mark... give it a rest and open your mind.
Incredible game play, stunning graphics, and the mechanics are spot on if you take the time to go through the tutorials and everything... so far so good!!!!
The game is 3 weeks before release, no big changes will be made, the game is already packaged and ready to be shipped. A lot of the complaints are about core parts of the game, such as the choice of Peer 2 peer, dominion just being boring/not fun. People are complaining because they love the game, but it's just not there yet, it still has a little way to go from "average" to "great". The brawl/duel modes are perfect, dominion is an abomination of moba/battleground mentality that detracts from the game. Could have been as simple as removing the minions to make Dominion fun, but nope, had to stick to make it a moba.Originally Posted by topper215 Go to original post
So, you should take your own advice, open your mind to what people are saying. Don't just wall yourself and think everyone else is wrong, a lot of people are saying constructive things about the game that would result in a far better games, ignoring those is how you end up with terrible patches and games.
