There already exists a revive denial finisher. It's called an execution. Look it up, everytime your last hit is a Heavy Attack you can perform an execution, they're beautiful to behold an actually useful too. Your enemy can't be revived and you get a little Health and Stamina back.Originally Posted by liv2rok Go to original post
While you guys are complaining about the game I and alot of people still didn't get their codes when we signed up a month before the actual beta and still don't have a code
The point of being on beta is not to get the game early, it's to look for problems. We are not supposed to be praising things (though there is a lot to praise) we are supposed to be finding problems with the game and giving feedback to Ubi.Originally Posted by Northmanshadow1 Go to original post
So, yeas, we are "complaining." (not complaining) That's why Ubi is having a beta.
Totally true. Berserkers are good too bu not superstrong like samurais. Samurais have longer range and fast attack.I also played Orochi and it is obviosly overpowered. Ofcourse player skill is important but when considering balance we need to think as if players are equally skilled. Even though it is not a very effective way of testing balance issues, you can still try 1v1 custom game duels with 99 rounds against level 3 samurai bots and then other bots to see the difference, just try to win against samurai bot with berserker. They are fast and evasive. They always have the priority to attack first which doesnt mean they need to attack first. They can wait and hit while you try to hit or counterblock. I hope this is not a Scissor-paper-rock game.Originally Posted by TheDark-Messiah Go to original post
I agree that Samurai do have crazy nice engages. Berserkers have no range but we have a gap closer that combos into a pretty strong heavy attack. If they sit and wait they will be besieged by it and it'll be too late to counter other than with a block. We also have a side dodge parry, a side dodge+ light attack that works just as well as a counter, and infinite attack combos that can overwhelm the opponent. I don't think the berserker loses out at all to the samurai if played correctly. If anything level 3 bot practice, which I did go thru a 99 round session, was solely to cover my weakness of block timing. I recommend lv3 bots to anyone struggling. The spear samurai for me is the worst because they have speed, range, a powerful bleed and they have that damn unblockable kick that just keeps me out of their range. Im already super slow as the conq knight... I just dont have any idea how to fight THEM. Out of all the classes in the game, its the spear samurai that makes me rage and at the current state of the game they are so common, you rarely see anything other than Samurai.
Honestly, im upset at the fact that I rarely even see the Warden Knight or the warlord viking. I dont see these classes as its just the berserker, assassin, the two handed axe viking, or the three samurai. Im one of the only few people that I ever see playing the conq knight... and I would love to see more variety.

Agile and with those cool martial stances if I wasn't repping my Vikings I'd go her too lol. But I easily beat her. She's dangerous from the front. Not so much if you can avoid her powerful naginata jabs with a side step close in and take away her ranged strength.
Don't look down on your Conqueror. Although nobushi is agile your light attacks are good for interrupting flow. Close the gap and use them. Don't be in a hurry to use your heavy attacks giving her room to dodge and create space again. Stay on her and be wary of guard breaks.

I dont find the samurais balanced and it shows that they are the most played by far.
So the question is... Why are they the most played by the large margin that it is? Open dominion games and you will see Samurais galore. You rarely see knights((Except assassin)) and you see alot of bezerkers. People flock to what is overpowered. Its just the nature of the game
You know when you say "git gud" it implies that the person saying that is "gud" and knows why your complaints are baseless.
Seeing that you havent even figured out that there is an "execute" in the game much less what it is good for.
I would replay to your "git gud" with a: Shut it and do the tutorial before you come here to bless us all with your wisdom.
Ignoring the OP that is simply a kid trying to defend the berserker.
All the assassin are simply a bit more powerful due to the fact that their malus (can't keep on the guard) is simply not a problem.
You are not going to keep the guard in the same position for more than 1 sec anyway, or if you do you do not expect your opponent to REALLY attack u there.
so ... maybe yeah as an assassin u can get hit on 3 side, as on another class only 2. not a whole lot of change with good reflexes...
they all do a lot of damage, and they are really quick and can escape / run away.
Berserker is really good, not op, but very good, Nobushi is annoying as hell to play against, again not really OP but it is so boring and annoying that in the end you WILL end up being aggressive because u can't stand her no longer.
the only way i can handle her with the shield knight is to charge up the heavy strike, try to get close by simply walking and unleash heavy (with the block) on the same direction she attack.
u need to get her once or twice, she needs to poke a lot.
Still it's not really "balanced" and i'm fine with class having counter.
But it seems that assassins (+ the Nobushi) are the lord of virtually any 1v1 simply for the fact that the "heavy" or "vanguard" rely on correct guard / parry while the assassin rely a bit more on your opponent errors.
at least this is my impression with the game so far...
