Sorry For Honor :(
When I first saw trailer for For Honor and some early gameplay videos, I was really excited and immediately applied for Closed Beta, hoping to get an invite. After I got it, well I won't lie, I was ecstatic for being given the opportunity to test and participate in an improvement of this game.
Unfortunately that is when I saw that Anti-Cheating software for this game is EasyAntiCheat software, and I am really disappointed, professional AAA Quality game using such subpar, no, not subpar... Awful, system-compromising amateur anti-cheat software. You might wonder why EAC is bad? Oh not a big deal, just that it can take system-wide screenshots, upload them to the internet for everyone to see, doesn't close even after you close the game, runs at a root-level so it puts your system at risk and is known for conflicting with other AntiCheat software.
It even conflicts with Valve's VAC, so if you play one of their games that uses VAC, you can get banned, even tho you are clean!
I really wanted to support this game and do absolute best to my abilities to provide constructive feedback and to try to give my little contribution to this game improvements and progression, but unfortunately after this not-so-small detail, I simply cannot, I will not put my system at risk nor expose any of my data that I don't want to be seen to the public. If UBISOFT removes EAC as their AntiCheat software and gets a better one, I will definitely get back.
I don't think I am a special snowflake and that my departure will doom this game, no, no way, 1 player leaving the game is not important at all, but I think people should definitely know what kind of a broken software EAC is.
