Killstealing and friendly fire are killing this for me.

Anyone else finding your own team mates to be your worst enemy in Dominion? Everyone is so selfish for hero kills that we're all slapping each other, and interrupting each other, to get that last hit for the finish. Its seriously obnoxious, and is killing the game for me. It also highlights the huge advantage that reach is in this game, so the Kensei is godlike and the Raider not far behind. But colliding with teamates and fighting them for enemy kills is destroying this game for me. After the experience in 4v4 PvAI Dominion I've had so far this morning, I am rethinking my preorder, as its just that unfun.

    Calm down.
This was less of an issue the second Alpha as players had time to settle in. Just a lot of noobs now trying to feel powerful.
I'd say just play bot duels the first week or two when it comes out if it is that bad get your unlocks then join in when people figure it out. It will also make you a much better fighter.

I've had this happen far too often. If you play a counter hero you can see this happen the most and it has the highest impact on you even in bot matches. I as a peacekeeper rely on high bleed damage through grab tripple stabs mainly because that deals huge amounts of damage. However 95% of the time when I get into a combat with someone from my team and I grapple the enemy to tripple stab him, my teammate just slashes at the enemy, breaking the combo after at max 1 stab. This is mainly the fault of no penalties for not thinking during combat. They just run in and do huge wide area attacks regardless of what they hit just because they have far more health and far more reach that us counter heroes who aren't as piss easy to play.

@Grim Bros: Your comment really contributed nothing helpful and just comes off condescending. How is my playing better going to do anything about teammates smacking my opponent out from under me?

Division-9: Yes this exactly, I thought the game was just glitched at first until I realized this was happening when I played Peacekeeper as well. The friendly fire, more for the way it interrupts you than damage, is the worst thing ever.

    ??
It wasn't condescending at all, didn't mean it to be.
You seemed to be pretty worked up so calming down is useful. I stated the issue, it being less than an HOUR of play for most players, so you can't expect them to all know exactly how to fight and how to play a group attack. The answer which is helpful is wait it out.
As for as the better player comment it is just a nice perk of practicing. In fact it is exactly what I did the first and second alpha. It's just a good way to let players settle and figure things out while still getting a lot of practice in yourself.
Sorry you took it so harshly but honestly I think it's good advice. Far better than yelling at noobs who frankly don't know better.

It's not about them trying to be powerful but them wanting the most XP/steel/excitement out of a match all for themselves. They know very well they are hurting their teammates and they don't give a f*ck. It's absolutely anti social behavior which I hate with a passion. The devs have to punish those guys attacking their team mates. Like a huge warning text obstructing the screen, or defector penalty payment (XP and steel). A voting system would be nice too, so I could downvote them, which will eventually make the matchmaker put players with negative standing in the same party.

yes, bad players will continuously not care about friendly fire and/or be the result of your death...
But it's needed so you can use their positioning against them when fighting outnumbered.

You are on the same team.
The mentality that your team mates trying to kill the same enemy as you is 'kill stealing' is what ruins games like this.
Try playing for the team, not for yourself. Suddenly it doesn't matter who kills who as long as the team wins.

    Yep the friendly fire

Got to say I have done this but all due to the noob effect. I didn't actually realise what I was doing until a little while in. If you are in the open it's not so bad but in the thick of it I find it quite hard to get the right position. It's a lot more technical than I first thought.

Kill stealing? Does it matter? You're a team. As long as your team wins then what's the problem? The point is for the team to get the most points and win, not for any individual player to get more kills.

Maybe they could implement an assisted kill score like every other game. Do they have that i never noticed?
