On mobile, forgive typos.
Peacekeeper is embarassingly OP. I've sat at a solid mid 90% winrate during this test as well as the prior tests, so I'm not talking out of my *** here. She suffers from the same problem as the valkyrie did which is that her light attacks are just too damn fast compares to every other character in the game. Orochi? No problem. Berserker? Peace of cake! Peacekeeper? God damn salt fest. You can literally walk up to people and just start comboing and unless they dodge roll away or you don't change attack direction you'll kill them or heavily wound. Furthermore, why does the peacekeeper seemingly get every special in the game? Deflection counter attacks? Check. Free unblockable light attack when landing any heavy attack? Check. Able to cancel a heavy attack directly into an instantaneous light attack? Check. Dodge attacks? Check. Sprinting guardbreak? Check. Free hit when using zone attack ala warden? Check. Most guaranteed damage in the game from a successful guardbreak? Check. It's obscene.
Only feasible counter is trading hits with warlord heavy attacks.
its funny how many people claim that "X is ******** op" after not one day of beta ...
i see so many people complain about "how hard the game is" and no one wants to get used to the mechanics...
seen videos of people paying a "counter-attack" hero but not blocking or deflecting a single attack etc.
all this whining is so dumb... hardly any good feedbuck just the usual "meh, its too hard plx nerf" crap.
orochi has it very easy against a peacekeeper if he know what he's doing, and so do some of the heavy heros, but i guess its easier to just complain than to learn the mechanics of all heros and adapt :P
I can get my head around most stuff and I can see where I need to improve against certain heroes. But for the life of me I can not get my head around the idea of the peacekeeper having that guaranteed 3 hit poison combo from a guard break. I die to that far more often than any other move.
- dont let her sprint -> guardbreak into you (if you face an offensive playing peacekeeper, which most players are currently cause most think that button-mashing wins them anything xD)
- she has very short range (even for her guardbreak), so make use of it.
- beware of her side-step -> heavy -> light combo (this is one thing that wins me the most games currently, also due to people over-mashing attacks and not knowing mechanics of other heroes)
- avoid attacking multiple times from the same direction (this only applies when you face against a very good peacekeeper that can actually time deflects, which currently almost no one can or even tries)
I disagree. I play warlord and I get rekt by peacemakers who know what they are doing. One or two grabs are usually enough. And yes, I know how to counter grabs. Still thanks to peer to peer that hardly works.Originally Posted by WALKMANmr Go to original post
@bolded part: well that hardly makes the character op ... ****ty connection and or poor net-code arent a good argument to nerf a class, its just a scream for dedicated serversOriginally Posted by Baine1 Go to original post
The issue with the peacekeeper is that bleed damage. Even if you have an extremely tough character, that bleed will absolutely destroy you in a second if she gets in. That's a little too OP that no mater what, the PK can always get a kill with no chance to block or evade. They need to balance it so that the bleed has a cap or, if not that, then only a couple hits instead of the full three; three full strikes plus bleed is a guaranteed kill no matter how much health you have it seems for the beta. So either both need to be nerfed down slightly or one needs to be reduced more significantly
What can the Orochi do that the Peacekeeper can't do faster? Orochi has two unique moves compared to peacekeeper 1. The step back, then step forward overhead, and 2. the dodge back, then rush sprint forward attack. #2 The dodge back rush forward is easily parryable by people who know Orochi's moveset. Peacekeeper was S tier last test for a reason, Orochi was not S tier for a reason. Like I posted above, peacekeeper has a faster dodge attack, can do more damage from a successful guard break, also has a great zone attack, gets a free second hit whenever they land a strong attack, and unlike Orochi gets a heavy attack cancel into light attack ability and just has passively faster attacks. How exactly does Orochi have any advantage whatsoever from his two additional unique moves? Furthermore, your "advice" for how to beat them shows the level of peacekeeper you're facing.

1. This is obvious, and nobody worth mentioning lets this happen.
2. Only heroes with long range can even attempt to take advantage of this
3. The fact that people simply mashing attacks and not knowing the mechanics is what leads to your wins shows us what level of player you're talking about
4. Lol at nobody can deflect.
1.) seen it often enough to still be worth mentioning... dont forget that MOST people arent used to playing a game like this that has pretty in-depth mechanics etc...Originally Posted by Bantarific Go to original post
2.) which are at least 50% of the heroes, which also makes it worth mentioning
3.) not sure what you want to say with that statement ... i was just stating that due to most people over-mashing you can get easy wins with a combo that is also easily countered by an equally skilled player.
4.) i think i have had maybe 2 players that actually gotten a deflect against me (maybe more people are trying, but i think a lot is giving up on trying as the timing is quite tight).
i also didnt say "nobody can deflect", i said almost no one can or even tries to.
i myself only try to deflect certain abilities of certain classes where i kinda know the timing, but most of the time it is currently easier to either dodge or just block and take a bit of damage rather than fail at a deflect-timing you are not familiar with (this is just a playing the game more issue and will probably fix itself over time)
The fact that you ignored over half my post speaks for itself, I think, but I will respond to your counter-arguments.
For reference, I'm talking about peacekeeper balance where both players understand how to play the game and know the moves. As such, points 1, 2 and 3 of yours are largely irrelevant, since 1. They wont get guardbreaked by the sprinting guardbreak attack 2. Many characters cannot maintain range and those that can are obviously going to be trying to do so and 3. No good player is just going to spam so much that they just die to combos and they are of course not going to just let themselves be killed regular sidestep attack combo.
So all of your advice for beating peacekeepers is relevant only to people who literally do not understand how to play, which is not the point I was bringing up when saying peacekeeper is op. Again, I've had above 90% winrate in previous tests and still hold it in this current test so I understand how to play the game. I'm saying peacekeeper compared to literally any other hero in the game besides warlord matches up highly favorably. And only because warlord matches up favorably against everybody because of hyperarmor, that is, he cannot be interrupted when starting a heavy attack.
Peacekeeper simply has too much going for it. I made a list of it above. Name one other character that has even nearly that many special abilities.
Again, if you really think peacekeeper is balanced just go and look at all the different things she can do and compare it to literally any other character. Some have a comparable number of specials but NONE and I mean NONE are as stacked with as many high quality specials as she is and furthermore her friggin base attack speed is noticeably faster than any other character currently in the game.
