Everyone can parry light attacks though. I faced a Nobushi that parried all my light attacks and as a Warden there was nothing I could do against her. I find the Nobushi's lights especially hard to parry because they are not telegraphed, particularly with hidden stance.

She definitely needs rework... I played her and Orochi about the same time and she is too easy to play and to hard to play against.

    Playing her:
Generally you don't need tactics just spam light attack combo and light +heavy combo and your opponents die quickly. I can take 3-4 opponents of any class reliably just by doing that before someone take me out. Reason for this is because her top stance light attack(poke) is incredibly fast with short animation and deals good amount of damage for "slash" weapon and on top of that you apply poison. With poking you can easily keep your distance, with guardbrake poison combo defensive classes are easy takedown, classes that can mach her range are to slow.

    Playing against her:
My issue with her is mainly her poke in top stance, because animation is so short that you don't have time for forward dodge to deflect that attack, blocking is easier but blocking it pushes me from her slightly and if i dash to close the gap she's already ahead of me with next attack which leads me to next issue. Her recovery after block or after finishing combo is insane, with little stamina buff she could attack constantly. In addition to this sometimes while moving camera blocks view on her weapon which leaves only guard indicator to see when she begins attack.

    Few ways for rework:
    1. Slightly lowering her attack speed and increase stamina costs
this would be only partial rework because you could stack stamina to same effect
2.Lowering poke damage and slightly lowering her attack speed
this could be countered with stacking attack, but as far as I could see stacking attack have huge negative impact on stamina, which is good

In both cases add recovery penalty after going for poison attack in a way that she can't immediately attack or block, to leave her open for attacks for brief time(like Raiders third swing). This way risk/reward gap would be balanced and would make her more balanced to other classes and more fun to play.

So you want to completely ruin this character by lowering her attack speed, that's cool i guess. Or you could just get better at what ever character you prefer and learn from past battles. An seeing as a competent Peacekeeper, Warlord, and possibly the Raider can completely hard counter the Nobushi. I really don't get why there are so many people crying about a character they just need to learn how to deal with instead of crying on the forums to nerf it into the ground.

You lower the attack speed Nobushi might as well be a Conqueror with none of the defensive abilities

How exactly do Warlords counter Nobushi? Warlords have one of the shortest ranges in game, good luck trying to get even remotely close to a Nobushi.

The fact that you call for a "nerf" and call it such is what gets these sorts of responses, word it along the lines of "over performing" and that you want to see it brought "Inline with the rest of the warriors" since nerfing is not the answer but rather minor balance tweaks to make it so its still strong just not over performing.

I think the only thing broken with the Nobushi is the Hidden Guard -_-
Who came onto the freaking idea to start it with R+DOWN??? Its not like the Controller is always trying to Guard Left or Right..... just give it a button god damn it <.< or make the area on the joystick bigger to realise this move. It's one thing to master the timing, but its frustrating if the controller just don't get the signal right.

For all to those wo have problems fighting against her:
    - Play aggressive, the range gap can be closed really fast.
    - Evade side to side (like infight boxing), most of us use the light and fast attacks which are vertical. The horizonal attack is much slower.

Look here for an example (i play the Orochi, sadly not aggressive enough.)

I have it's not hard guard up. Guard up approach her, now what is Nobushi going to do "viper's Retreat" ? It gets instantly blocked leading into a shield counter combo. Dash left or right guard down into Board and Blade for a fast heavy that can't be blocked because you're still recovering from your attack being Deflected. Or you can Block and Stab or Headbutt combo.

Learn the character he has amazing tools that makes her range a non issue. You think he's to technical for you go play Conqueror he's even more simplified. even better though go play Peacekeeper if you wonna make a Noboshi player question why they are even playing the character just because all you need to do is dodge left and right. They can't poison you because you're to fast, all you need to do is either get off multiple Dashing Thrusts and Sidestep Strikes or the all so annoying bleeding stab.

Finally someone that gets it. An i agree the Hidden Stance needs to be fixed, it's basically the same input for Warlord and Conquerors full guard. Though for what ever reason they gave it a absurdly small window for its use. Which is a shame because it leads into a whole 'nother range of abilities for the character but if it's such a pain to use continuously most people wont even bother trying to make it work. What if they did the same thing to Warlord or Conqueror, they couldn't reliable use a good amount of their moves. It really is something that needs fixing.

    L O L

High (not the highest) speed, bleed with low damage, massive range

    BUT:

Lowest HP pool of all the characters, Very slow dodging.

Actually, Nobushi is the pineaccle of this game and its AWESOMENESS. You have to LEARN and ADAPT, not mindlessly mashing the same buttons. Keep crying that someone destroys you, or learn to play this gem.
Also: I main Kensei, so don't cry
