So, I want to make some more cars, and I'm wondering what are the best cars for each spec. I've Googled it, but some info there is old, I'm looking for more up to date recommendations.
My current lineup:
Street: Skyline (thinking about Mini Cooper S, is it worth it or is Skyline the best?)
Dirt: RT-35
Perf: Huayra (should I get a LaFerrari maybe? Or Aventador?)
Raid: Camaro RS (thinking about the Mustang 2011)
Circuit: Ford GT (maybe I should make a Ferrari 458?)
Drift: RX-7
Monster truck: Abarth
Drag: CTR3
So, is this list any good, or which ones would you replace? Also, you can mention several good ones, especially if they're different from the best one for the spec, because I also play Summit and it's always asking for some specific spec-type-country combinations, would be cool to have multiple different good cars for each spec.
dude, this is me being as much honest with you as I can;
STREET: you got that one quite right, Skyline and the Mini dominate, I would say the Mini is a bit better (or at least I never get beaten by a Skyline - Street spec is my weakest spec and I still do fine using a Skyline, but once somebody beats me, they are using the Mini), ocassionally I grab the Subaru BRZ or the Camaro if I know the opponents are weaker drivers, just to have fun and add some variety to my gameplay.
DIRT: RT-35 is believed to be the king in this spec, HOWEVER ONLY if you are using full assists or a gamepad. Using a keyboard with anything else than full assists makes the car not that easy to handle and it is notable in the lap times. (I am personally using a keyboard with sports assist and I gave up on the RT-35 a long time ago) - I was using the BMW X6 for a while, was a good car (I consider myself a capable driver and I was able to beat RT-35s quite frequently). However I recently obtained The Exige from the Community Challenge and pretty much beat most of my old track times using it, so yeah, I love it. It is quite a NOS dependend car since the acceleration is a bit weaker that the RUFs for example. But those things matter only once the drivers are perfect. In casual PVP you will probably have no trouble keeping up since most of the people there are bad anyway. And even if you are facing strong drivers, knowing when to use your NOS pretty much solves the issue.
RAID: pretty much depends on the track you are racing on, flat tracks are best done with the RUF 3400K, it has great acceleration and it is fast and fairly agile. I tend to use the VW Touareg for bumpier tracks and I never had any problems, I mostly lose raids because I am not good at this spec, not because the VW is any bad. People say the Mustang is a great balance - does not dance around on bumpy tracks like the 3400k does and still is quite nimble and fast, I think it belongs to the TOP5. Have not tried any other cars in raid. Oh, I tried the buggy too but I dont really like it. There are better cars out there. Do not waste your money on the raid bikes, they are terrible.
CIRCUIT: the Ferrari 458 was the king for a long time, probably still is, but since the CAU patch I dont really feel that confident taking some corners with it. Maybe its just me but it seems to me the car has lost some of the grip it once had. Still a great car tho and probably the best out there. I use the 458 most of the time and it is still an "above average" car, I ocasionally jump into the cop Gallardo for the siren lol. If you want to race on the Little Eagle Speedrome, get the Huracan Super Trofeo, highest top speed and slipstreaming speed come in handy there. People praise the GT, I dont have it, so cannot tell. You can get a Saleen too for the USA only Summits, but if you have the Ford GT, it will serve you well.
Also the circuit bikes are quite fun. Above average I would say, although you need to learn to race with them, since the bikes behave differently (cpt. obvious lol). Their braking points are different, you usually need to start braking earlier so that you can take the whole corner under throttle again. Makes coming out of a corner much faster. People usually drive the bikes like cars, e.g. they start braking half way through the corner which is just too late. If you're thinking about getting a bike for circuit, get the Kawasaki ABS1000 or whatever it's called. It has much better turning rates than all the other bikes, you will be eating Ninjas or S1000RRs for dinner.
EDIT: just got the cop Ford GT which is a circuit spec and yeah, I kinda like it. Will probably still stick with the 458 tho.
DRIFT: only used the RX7, the 350Z, and the BRZ. There is not much difference. I agree that the RX7 is the best out of the three, but hey, in this spec? Either you know how to drift, or you dont. Cars wont save you that much.
MONSTER: have the police Abarth, a Skyline and a Hummer H1. Again, I did not exactly fell in love with the Abarth, but people say it is good, so whatever. I just levelled it up to 1497 and did not touch it since. Skyline is my pick 90% of the time, some of the bumpy Skill Tests, however, are very hard to be done in the Skyline, thats why I bought myself the H1 as well, that thing is a monster of a Monster, literally.
DRAG: CTR-3 and the Dodge Viper (the new SRT, not the Uplay one) are superior here, but then again. Either you are good at shifting at the right time and using NOS at the right time, or you're not. The cars are not to be blamed here either.

Street - Skyline, Mini, Brz (Brz is bad out of slow corners but phenominal in medium to high speed corners, it can blow Skyline and mini away on the right track))
Dirt - Ruf RT35 for tracks with a lot of straights or on snow, Exige for twisty tracks (BMW X6 and Jeep Cherokee are solid too)
Raid 60s Camaro .Mustang 3400K (KTM 450 has its place on a few tracks)
Perf - Huayra, Laferrari, Exige, Agera (Kawasaki zx1000 for that ice track, make sure all assists on or its a handful) I also find the Saleen is a little hidden gem nobody uses for perf, RX7 is a rocket off the line if crown is your thing.
Circuit - 458, Ford GT, Maserati MC12, 370z, Mini (Huracan for Little Eagle Speedrome)
I've won races in most cars but these are my normal options that have done me well for 1000 or so wins and still feel great after the recent patch (Huayra understeers a little I feel now so I prefer the Laferrari)
Drift - Whatever feels best for you. I like the Viper and M5
Moster - Skyline has done me, as has the abarth
Drag - CTR3 or Viper
Dodge Charger R/T, Nissan Skyline R34, Chevy Impala Sport Sedan and maybe the Mini for Street.
Ford Raptor for Dirt.
Huayra, Aventador, Agera and maybe the Ford GT(insane top speed) for Perf
Dodge Challenger SRT8, Chevy Silverado, RUF 3400K and the 69 Camaro for Raid
Nissan Skyline R34 and Ford GT for Circuit.
