I have textures flickering in the background when I play with sli enabled
Does this happen without SLI? Does it occur with both Dx11 and Dx12?

Posting for a friend because basically he's a lazy git and doesn't want to put in the effort to remember his own password. Dyce9984 if you ever see him in the DZ (shoot him a few times for me)
2x1070 in SLI, DX11 only (as DX12 doesn't support SLI), it appears to not be textures but artificial light sources / reflections, at night time specifically. The effect is reduced (albeit slightly) with Neutral lighting turned on
tested without SLI enabled in dx11 with no flickering.
DX12 there is no flickering but SLI doesn't work in dx12
Kravik1 could be right with the light source comment
After testing every graphic setting I have pin pointed it down to the shadow quality settings with Nvidia PCSS and HTFS. Setting to ultra and game is ok but this is not a fix for broken gfx settings
same with mine 980ti,s sli dx 11 all the buildings flickering / flashing. Neutral lighting is turned off.
FYI I have same problem with single GTX1080 in live 1.5 version of game with DX11. It happend to me with PCSS or HFTS turned on, I try only high shadows and flickering is gone
That starts when I do upgrade drivers at latest 378.49 drivers So maybe you can try downgrade if you run latest version.
I have no flickering in the live 1.5 with pcss or hfts switched on, I do have 378.49 driver installed aswell.
I also have flickering in the PTS. DX11, GTX 1080, PCSS, NVIDIA driver version 378.49
I'll monitor this thread, if there's any information you'd like, a video, just ask and I'll see what I can do, thanks.
Thx for info. From my experience Maxwell and Pascal architecture have some differences in NVIDIA specific shadow technologies. I remember that VXAO in RotTR causes CDT when activated on Pascal but works fine on Maxwell with same drivers version. Anyway flickering occurs while i did update to 378.49. But I skip maybe two precedent updates so it is possible that problem is for longer time. reduce shadows to High solve problem for me, but I will try downgrade to previous driver and will see. I will report my experience later.Originally Posted by Jujoe. Go to original post
