    MASSIVE READ: 1.6 Patch Notes and Thoughts (Community Also Here)

    PATCH NOTES AND SOME REACTIONS from me and
    Please Community Reply below with YOURS. Some of us will not have PTS so we can use this post for that.

    Summary of the new Dark Zone areas

    The Dark Zone has been expanded with three new areas, Dark Zone 7-9, north of Dark Zone 6 and Midtown East.
    Good, some new content.. for PVP players. That is fine.


    New Landmarks feature waves of enemies.
    Good, I like this idea, as long as it is not like Falcon Lost, and is Random every time (not repetitive)


    Landmarks award you with additional loot placed directly into your inventory.
    Awesome, PVE players can grind with some excitement (Just pretend other players are legendary hunters)


    Fast travel between Dark Zone checkpoints has become available.
    This might be a problem, as Rogues and Manhunts will have an even harder time reducing their countdown, always be fighting.



    Summary of Contamination events

    New Contamination Events have been added to the Dark Zone.
    Good, some new content to the DZ again, so more PVP content and if it goes straight to Inventory, Then also adds to PVE players content


    DARK ZONE LEADERBOARDS
    OK, nothing wrong with this one, nothing original either


    Summary of Legendary difficulty

    Legendary difficulty mode has been added to Times Square, WarrenGate Power Plant and Napalm Production Site and features new, powerful and smart enemies.
    Kind of a COP OUT fro creating NEW content! Oh yey Harder repetitive mission we've been playing for A YEAR!

    Legendary difficulty rewards you with unique vanity items not available elsewhere in the game, on top of the regular rewards.
    Um... why? for vanity items? Players with those vanity items will be a laughing stock, I will laugh at those players because all it means is they wasted hours on last years content lol.... at least the Named VEST has a purpose and is useful to grind for, but to play the HARDEST content for Vanity? lol no.


    EXOTIC ITEMS AND NEW GEAR SET
    Summary of Exotic weapons and new Gear Set

    Named gear pieces and weapons are now called Exotics and have been given their own color in your inventory.
    Probably RED

    Exotic weapons all have their own unique talent. This change is retroactive.
    Hungry Hog with Meticulous anyone?... Or Hungry Hog + Seekr Set

    Exotic weapon sets have been introduced.
    These two better be good! Half a weapon to make 1 good weapon is not good enough. This Valkyri or whatever better be better then having TWO awesome god rolled weapons already.

    Exotic Caches are available as a weekly reward from Legendary difficulty missions.
    May I suggest, because weeklies make some gamers come back once a week only, why not have an Exotic Cache for sale at ALL TIMES for 2000 Phonix Credits?
    This was, all players will always be playing and grinding to open caches...and player count will grow daily!



    GEAR SET CHANGES


    Alphabridge 4-piece bonus now shares the free talent from your weapons instead of all three.
    WRONG! You need to make the Free ones the ones that DO NOT add. You have it reversed!


    Frontline’s 4-piece no longer removes the critical hit chance, instead it removes the effect of any mods you have applied to the shield.
    This is fine I guess


    The Reclaimer set focuses on the Support Station. Its 4-piece bonus activates all Support Station mods simultaneously. It no longer has an effect on consumables.
    This is good because console players find it really annoying to stop fighting to go into consumables menu. Also makes the set viable again


    Tactician’s Authority’s buff only disappears after you use a skill.
    If this is the case, you might want to make it scale according to Group size. A solo player with this build should have the Ability in the same amount of time as a 4 ma group. So the bigger the size of group, the More damage is needed to reach the 100%


    A new Gear Set, SEEKR, has been added to the game.
    This set is broken, unless you change BODY SHOTS to HEAD SHOTS instead... This way the NAME will also make sense, as you are SEEKING the head shots!


    ARMOR AND RESISTANCES


    Armor has been removed as a major bonus and replaced with Health.
    If you do this, make sure you also remove Enemy Armor Damage too, cause we will all be rolling for that Stat now, as we can melt players with it, since the armour is lower.Also DESTRUCTIVE will be a Must Have talent

    Gear still comes with base armor and some talents will still give bonus armor.
    You have to increase the talents that do give armor as a %... since the values are lower now, these talents will be useless is % is also low, like 10% is too low

    Health and stamina are your primary means of toughness.
    OK, but again, remove stuff that destroys armour.

    Current Health rolls have been turned into the new stat Resist All.
    Not sure about this, does that mean resist Bullet Damage too? What is ALL?

    Resistances have become analogue instead of binary.
    Cool

    Diminishing returns have been added to status effects.
    Good


    CHANGES TO SKILL POWER AND SKILLS


    Skill Power has been moved to a system similar to armor, where each new World Tier you reach will demand more Skill Power to reach the same effectiveness of your skills.
    Nice, make is viable again

    There’s a bigger difference in skill efficiency between low and high Skill Power builds.
    This better BE a big change, If I am fighting a player and his Flame throw is melting me, I know I am fighting a Tech Build, but in return I better not be dying from his Bullets too, You better balance this right or else we are back at TANK-TICHAN gameplay


    Changes have been made to Sticky Bomb, First Aid and Shock Turret.
    Sticky Bomb requires MORE skill as a player then Seeker Mines, please make sure that SKILL BASED SKILLS are more powerful than a simple NOOB 1 button Kill like seekers are. Make the mobile cover for example a BOX, not A WALL. When you activate the Mobile Cover, you automaticaly have 4 walls around you and are in cover. Anything, just make unused SKILLS better, they NEED Buffs!


    PVP BALANCING

    Summary of PvP balancing

    Hip fire stability while moving has been decreased and a new hip fire camera has been added.
    I can't wait to see the new camera angle on this... it better remove all Hip fire gameplay in PVP!
    Or Simply reduce DAMAGE from hip firing! You do 10% less damage when hip firing! SIMPLE! No, instead you make a new camera?



    The damage gap between body damage and headshots has been lowered.
    WTF!?! ... Huge mistake! JUST,,, NO! Logic! I dont need to explain this one! Just don't do it!!


    When combat rolling, there’s now a one second delay before you can roll again.
    Realy? I see where you are coming from, but hopefully this is in PVP only! Cause in PVE, this will not work with you Grenade Launching Spamming NPC and incursions!


    You can no longer reload your weapon while sprinting.
    Ok, we will see how that goes, maybe force some players into cover and have to change their fighting style, but again, should only be in PVP! I suggest you KEEP the reload while running but takes 50% longer to reload ( like in real life, reloading while running is harder, but doable)


    Medkits can now be used at full health and remove certain status effects.
    Ok, fine I guess


    The Rejuvenated talent has been changed to give additional resistance to status effects.
    Please buff talent are AUTO-SELL items BEFORE changing talents, BUFF the useless ones!

    Adrenaline no longer gives an overheal from medkits, instead it will give a heal over time.
    OK, so make sure talents which DO give overheal are BETTER to match this nerf


    Survivability talents like On the Move, Battle Buddy and Critical Save have seen some balancing changes.
    Fine, nurf them too but keep them Viable! SMALL change, Tweeks! not DO-OVERS!


    ECONOMY CHANGES

    Unlimited recalibration has been introduced. The price increases each time, capping out at five recalibrations.
    Nice, but everyone is so damn rich anyway, we can make million in a hour...

    Helping civilians reward Intel.
    How much intel? no one knows yet. But cool idea I guess

    High End pistols in Survival no longer costs Division Tech.

    Scavenger Box now scales with World Tier.
    Finally

    Some item prices have been tweaked.
    Ok


    THE IN-GAME STORE

    not sure but better never become PAY to WIN Game !


    OTHER CHANGES

    From now on, all activities – open world, Underground, Survival and Last Stand – will reward their own separate experience points, awarding their own caches every time you fill your experience bar after reaching max rank. This means there will no longer be any overlap of experience points in Underground, which from now on will only reward Underground XP and caches.
    This is cool if it applies to LEADERBOARDS and score for EACH, don't force players to do activities they do not want to do, Mixing it up was fine. Do not start locking items behind these caches to force us to do that activity! (Like the Tommy Gun and Names gear!...Carrot and Stick and a Laugh at players wasting their LIVES for these things because you FORCE them to! Stop it!! Everything should have a percent to DROP ANYWHERE!!!

    We’re also making a few changes to Survival. Solo players will no longer end up in games together with players queuing as a group and grouping up while in a Survival game will be completely disabled in solo PvP Survival. In both PvE and PvP Survival, reviving a downed player will always cost a medkit (grouped or not).

    Exactly. Instead of rewarding those who can aim, let's just make everyone shoot the the body.

    Fast travel between checkpoints is available ATM, you have to open exit dors to LZ and teleport in LZ. With that change you do not open that doors. You save maybe 2 seconds with animation. It is just little change to quality of the live.
