hmm. Well, the romans had a diverse enough arsenal to be included, certainly, although i would be worried that there might be too many similarities to the knights. A more middle-eastern / indian focus might be interesting too. Although not as iconic and world renowned, the middle east had its share of impressive warrior cultures as well.
