This Picture Sums Up All DLC's We've Gotten So Far Perfectly

This screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/kz9mdiW.png posted by the reddit user: Cynoxious sums up all the DLC's in a nutshell. It's nothing more or less. Underground: repetitive few levels that are always the same with waves of enemies. Survival: I've been following this game since 2013. Back then, Massive was posting alot of stuff on Facebook, where a few of the stuff was about, how important it was to use a consumable (water and food) to survive. Survival was actually how the game was supposed to be in the beginning, but ended up being a game mode that came as a paid DLC. The Last Stand: This DLC is about a PvP game mode and microtransactions. There are alot of rumors going around right now. People say that year 2 content will be for free, but they'll add more microtransactions to the game. I had a good laugh at this picture, because there is so much truth in it, it's kinda sad at the same time. The DLC's we've gotten so far are a joke, except Survival maybe (but in the end, the timer makes Survival less fun, because you end up rushing the whole time). There was nothing that extended the story. There were no new story missions, we've been playing the same content to death for almost a year. Sure, they added like 3 Incursions, but this content ended up being trash too and who in the hell still plays the Incursions?!

I think this game needs story continuation with new story missions. A 8-man raid in one of the many skyscrapers, where you would getter better loot, the more you'd fight your way up. And the LZ needs to be improved alot with random events and activities, unique features like a snowstorm (like in Survival) that hits randomly and effects the games world and maybe an extraction feature like the DZ has with landmarks. Also it needs to have more NPCs roaming around, Hunters or a new faction added and a much needed map extension. But these are just my suggestions, as a day 1 player that's been stuck to the game since day 1. Nobody knows what Massive will actually end up doing, but I don't except much from them anymore. They dissapointed me enough already. And we still don' know yet if there will be year 2 content for The Division or if they'll move on to The Division 2 and leave the game behind.

    100% agree.

The core LZ play areas feels very empty at times, which I understand as it is post-infection, but still...everything feels predictable.

The same enemy NPCs spawn in the same place over and over again.

The NPCs repeat the same dialogue over and over again...usually about their pal, Alex, and are cookie cutter enemies with no real variety or uniqueness about them.

Survival had real promise and I agree that if feels like it was originally in the 1-30 experience but was culled and later re-packaged, then used as a way to cynically cash in.

Like I said, I just can't seem to reconcile their behaviour with people who actually play the game, like the game, and want to see it fleshed out and have all the loose ends tied up...their behaviour is far more like that of disinterested corporate stooges following orders and caring about the bottom line and nothing else.

I get that is how the publisher feels, but the developer?

Those who had the vision and then had the force of will and dedication to make it real, yet after release seem content to just put out boring horde modes copies and original material cut from the finished product, and then want to charge us a not insignificant sum for the season pass or even the individual game modes...it's really rather unacceptable.

None of this surprises me, coming from Ubisoft. It still shocks me, definitely, but it doesn't surprise me.

    Season Passes? Never again.
