I already see the people screaming about "it is only a matter of time before it is P2W", which actually could be the case... why? Because they need money to keep paying their development team, last I checked you don't make money magically.
So if we were all adults about this and realized, "oh hey yeah I wouldn't go to work and be passionate too if I knew I was not making money.". Point being then we could agree that if we like this game and wish to see it stay alive for years to come and NOT have it progress into a pay-2-win scenario. We must preemptively strike, well sorta... lol
So I would be more than happy to pay $10/mo to help further development AND to prevent pay-2-win. I mean I have gotten more than my money's worth of entertainment out of a total $100 (season pass and base game) purchase, somewhere around 900 hours. I could easily spare $120/yr to play hundreds of more hours. I did it for SWtoR, WoW, EQ2, Conan, Aion, Rift etc. Why should this be any different?
And here we are in the forums complaining about the product which we invested very little money initially, but have reaped hundreds of hours of FREE entertainment from. Expecting every issue to be fixed ASAP when we are investing nothing more than time at this point into playing THEIR game.
The content would have to be superior and when I say superior, I mean VASTLY superior to anything ive seen so far in order for me to even consider a monthly subscription to this game.
I have a love hate relationship with it and have had all year. All of the content released in year one has been poor and thats frankly being hugely generous.
Yup, greed always starts somewhere....Originally Posted by Arafys Go to original post
I don't think there's a chance that this game will become p2w. I think it'll stay with skins and cosmetics. If it did turn that nasty p2w corner tho having a monthly subscription instead for a game i have already purchased everything available, game+season pass, would see me leaving as well. This game needs to bring about a reason for ppl to play it. 1.4 was close and if they'd actually added new pve playable content instead of a game mode with 1.5 those ppl probably would've stayed longer and purchased dlc.
pve content is what attracts and new pve content sustains a game. fun pvp is what keeps them. this game has neither
Well you never know what ubisoft is thinking if they see a good profit coming out of it they will go for it 100%Originally Posted by Draevik Go to original post
