    Was Orochi Nerfed Too Hard?

not being able to feint after storm rush is harsh. what I hate about that nerf is that it takes away an option orochi has and makes him more one-dimensional (more options = more depth). they could've implemented a stamina penalty (like each time you do it it takes off 60% of your stamina) they didn't have to remove it completely. i'm all about harsher stamina penalties to curb spam, but removing mechanics entirely? that's a bridge too far. you run the risk of dumbing down the game & ruining characters when you go down that road.

devs, please stop overreacting when balancing characters

....he still has pleeeenty of options, you know right ?

How about testing the closed beta before judging ?

You don't know that they've overreacted.

removing a game mechanic entirely instead of simply adding a significant stamina cost to reduce spam is overreacting any way you slice it.

The balance they did to the storm rush was a good thing. Now you actually have to think before you use it. If any, they encouraged the use of other moves that the Orochi has. As an example, start using the Riptide strike a bit more. SR was made into a move where you have to commit, that's a good thing coming from such a strong attack.

is it possible to cancel storm rush AT ALL now? (i'm talking about before you execute it when you're in that stance)

Yes, you can feint it like a normal attack during the wind-up.

can you still cancel directly into guard break from the storm rush stance?

No need to worry about that.

I'd like to send you over to one of the threads from the Hall of Heroes where we did go over changes to a few things, Storm rush amongst them. The SR is now a move where you have to commit to the attack. Your last chance to feint it would be when you get into the stance and either let go and let it rip, or simply not go through with it.

Link to thread about character and stat changes.
