Anyone else feel robbed of KTM blueprint pieces because of inaccurate percentages?

Because I didn't know what tracks to improve my times on, I ended up getting in the top 8% instead of the top 5%. I'm not as good at this game as a lot of you, but I've consistently met the criteria of previous events to unlock bikes.
Does this now mean I can only unlock 29 of the 30 blueprint pieces because of this bug?

The track percentages and overall percentages are confusing to say the least. The track % is based strictly on times where the overall is based on points accumulated. It's possible to move up on the track leaderboard because you improved your time by .001 second but not move up the overall leaderboard because you didn't earn many points. It's not simple math to add your track %'S and divide by 10 to get your overall %, it doesn't work that way.

Additionally, it's probably worse than you think. If you made the top 5% every week for 4 weeks you'd have 32 pieces (and only need 30). If you miss top 5% one week you'll probably end up with 28 pieces.

Hmm, what do you mean by points? How do you get more points?

You earn points based on how fast you were and how few faults you had. The simple answer is go faster and don't crash.

The complicated (and much more thorough) answer is here...

    http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...ring-Explained

After you set a new best time you'll see 2 leaderboards get updated. The top one is the track time leaderboard (where you see everyone's times on theat track). The second one (the one on the bottom) is the "hall of fame" leaderboard and you'll see no times only point totals.

It's these point totals that are important for the event ranks and prize accumulation. Basically if you want the bike at the end of the event you need to be in the top 5% in points every leg. The more you improve your times, the more points you'll get.

If you want to keep track of your times you can look on my site - http://trials.bonxy.net/event/KTM+Rally/2

This display all 10 of the Leg 2 track leaderboards and the overall global leaderboard.

Thanks hanks420. I guess I knew a run with no crashes was worth more than a faster run with crashes, but I never really gave it a lot of thought. Thanks for spelling it out for me.
And Bonxy, that's a pretty cool site! I'll be sure to refer to it.

The one fault vs no faults is easy its's the 20 second platinum vs 19 second platinum vs 18 second platinum (on the same track) where it gets confusing.

If you are on the map screen there is a small KTM logo/button in the lower right hand corner. Touching this button will bring up the overall KTM event point scores.

Oh, I saw the KTM logo in top centre, but not the one on the lower right. Thanks for continuing to be helpful, hanks420!

I didn't notice it for a while myself. FWIW, the little trophy button below it brings up your overall points for the rest of the game.

Basically, you can't just average all the percentages together to get your percentage. The true way to get your overall would be check your leaderboard rank for the event against total event players on the leaderboard. Each track has differing factors that mathematically make just averaging those 10 numbers inaccurate.
