    Far Cry 4 Black Screen with Sound Upon Completing Prologue & ot saving

    This should be a very common problem (and an old one) judging from the amount of people complaining about it, and it's still not fixed. I bought and downloaded the game on Origin 10 days ago and I still can't find any fix for the problem with saving and getting past the Prologue. After I reach the tower and fight off the soldiers which then triggers the avalanche that ends the Prologue, the screen goes black and never recovers. I can do nothing but I can hear the sound. Same thing happens when I die in the game.

    I presume it's the auto-saving mechanics broken here, so the game is stuck at the end of the chapter (and when I die) trying to save my progress.

    The game runs well on High on my PC, I am positive that it is not a problem with my PC reaching minimum requirements or not, given that the Prologue I have played so many times runs smoothly.

    I have tried the moving & copying savegames folder method and it didn't work, although I checked the save files and it said they are modified every time I launched the game. Also tried running as admin, with compatibility, fiddling with gamerprofiles.xml, you name it, nothing works. Some say some patches have been released to fix this but since I run the game on Uplay, it SHOULD have all the patches applied, right? (I do have automatic update turned on)

    My platform:
    Windows 10 x64
    Core i7-6700HQ
    Nvidia GTX-960M
    16GB RAM

    Same problem

    I've got the same hardware and the same problem. Farcry was running until chapter 4. And now black screen with sound. I use UPLAY and can't find any help or patches. New installation doesn't work. Please HELP!
