I get why people are making fun or even upset that this game isn't a cover based shooter. On behalf of all these smart guys , I would like to make suggestions to make The Division great again and cover based shooter . First make the AI kill you in one shot if you are out of cover ,next bring back the smart cover ,with the damage buff , this way The Division will be great and cover based shooter .
Massive , don't listen to these guys ,they are completely ignorants . The game now is fast based which is fun , I don't want campy boring game .I hope you don't listen to them .
Wait ! I thought 1.3 was great because it was a cover based shooter like what we all wanted !Originally Posted by quicksand2016 Go to original post

Yup, sure does.Originally Posted by Commander-Blue Go to original post
Mr skillup in his latest video claims to have seen a leaked document from massive stating the game to be a CBS, so either hes lying or as i say, everyone is completely befuddled.
It might now, however if you look at articles from early last year...Originally Posted by Commander-Blue Go to original post

"Developer Ubisoft has explained why The Division is a third-person shooter, rather than first person. According to Ubi, third person view fits the cover-based gameplay perfectly.
They say first person didn’t really made sense for The Division when you look at its open-world, exploration, and cover-based gameplay.
"I think it fits the cover-based gameplay so well, and that’s really what we wanted to do. If you close your eyes and think “Okay, we have this incredibly detailed real-world city, it’s open-world, it’s a cover-based shooter, there’s exploration, there are gadgets.” Would first-person make sense? Not particularly. It’s better suited to a third-person experience.""

"10. Gameplay
If you don’t know by now, The Division is a third-person cover-based shooter. There is no first person view, nor a crouch button.
This might seem as an absurd design-choice, but when you get inside the game and see how the cover mechanic works, you’ll understand."
Now why would so many outfits say it's a "cover based shooter" when it isn't one, if that wasn't how Ubisoft tried to sell the game?
