I posted this as a comment in another thread, but I'd like to see what other players think about it:
- DZ gets split into 3 separate DZs.
1. DZ A: The DZ in it's current form. This is where you would end up if you just wander in to the DZ.
2. DZ B: This is a DZ exactly the same as DZ A, except that it uses new gear only. Only players fully geared in one of a few new gear sets (I'll cover that further down) will have access. Those using any gear/mod/weapon that isn't part of the new gear, would not have access to this DZ.
3. DZ C: This is a PVP mission based DZ, that again only allows you access with the new gear. You would choose to join this from any DZ entrance. These would be missions where half the players are designated a rogues, and half non rogue, and would either be like a standard mission except rogues take the place of NPCs, or a complete task X before the other side does/escapes/etc. Again, only players in full new gear would have access.
New gear sets and weapons: RED
These would be 3 heavily balanced gear sets, each if which would be weighted to either Firearms, Stamina, or Electronics. Red gear talents and major attributes are set in stone and can not be changed. Minor attributes can still be recalibrated. Multi piece talents would require 2 pieces to be worn, 3 would simply increase the level of the 2 piece talent, and 4 would give a slight boost to your dominant stat (stamina, firearms, or electrics). Red weapons would have two set talents for balancing purposes, and one that can recalibrated.
End result:
1. A more balanced PVP experience.
2. A structured PVP system.
3. No change to the current DZ for those who like it as is.
4. No nerfs required, so it won't impact PVE players.
I think everybody wins in this situation.
Opinions?
