PLEASE Port For Honor to the Nintendo Switch

Hello, I have wanted this game as soon as it was announced so long ago.

But I have yet to Pre-Order it despite it being my "Most Wanted" game for quite some time.

This is because I would absolutely LOVE to have it for the Nintendo Switch!

With the amount of money I have, I wont be able to purchase this game for any other console. I just bought the Switch because I love Nintendo games, but I will gladly fork out a ton of money for For Honor on the Switch. And I know many other people who will as well.

If this game comes to the Switch, I WILL buy the MOST expensive version. I am seriously so hyped for this game, but I will only be able to play it if it comes to the Switch.

I know a general reason people say it wont come to the Switch is that the Switch has a Portable mode, and For Honor requires constant internet connection. But really, that shouldn't be a problem as people would know they can only play it at home, or portable if they have an internet connection.

And just imagine the possibilities! If this came to the Switch, Ubisoft *could* (if they chose to) create Nintendo Exclusive content! Imagine having a gritty realistic Master Sword skin over a LongSword, or the Skull Hammer over a WarHammer. There are so many possibilities! Any exclusive content would just be a reason for people to purchase the Switch Version as well. Though this is completely optional. I just want this game on the Switch sooo badly!

Please, Ubisoft. Please make this happen.

I GUARANTEE it will pay off for you.

    Thank you.

Storage, not RAM. But yes, although, the games are on cartridges and therefore don't need to be installed to the internal hard drive.

For those that do want to install to the system, the Switch supports up to 512 GB Micro SD Cards, and (from what I understand) unlimited external storage.

So there is far more than enough room on the system for For Honor.

Actually, the Switch supports up to 2TB MicroSD!

So there is plenty of room on the system for For Honor.

Please, Ubisoft! Please make it happen.

    Thanks.

Except 2TB micro SDXC cards don't exist yet, it's a theoretical limit, but you won't see those on the market for at least a dozen years. I've seen that being thrown around a lot, but it's like saying "The shoes I am selling allow you to safely ride hoverboards!"

You can get a 200GB (186GB in reality once formatted) micro SDXC for 70$, or 256gb for 200$. The problem is size. Micro SD are tiny, that means to make them work, you need to make everything smaller and smaller, and that costs a lot.

So no, you won't be seeing 2TB micro sdxc cards, not even 1TBs, and certainly not on the Nintendo Switch lifetime anyways. Maybe 512gb for 200-300$ in 3-5 years. Maybe.

Well yeah, I realize that. I was just stating the "theoretical" limit. But there is still no problem at all for storage space to fit this game.

Storage alone is no reason to not get a port.

The Nintendo Switch isn't powerful enough to run For Honor. I struggles with Zelda, which is essentially a Wii-U game. It's probably just slightly more powerful than a PS3, nowhere near a PS4 or Xbox One. Definitely nowhere near a gaming PC.

It's very true that the Switch is not nearly as powerful as its competitors, but it does not have to run For Honor at the same graphical fidelity. I could personally settle for 720p at med/high settings, which the Switch might handle.

Up to Ubisoft to figure it out. Also worth keeping in mind that Nintendo are famously extremely picky about what kinds of games they let on their platforms these days. I suspect they would maybe demand the removal of blood, definitely demand the removal of executions. Everything has to be so damn family friendly. But I think it could be interesting seeing how you could make it work with the joycon controllers with motion controls and stuff, if they did it.

Maybe at medium settings 720/30 it could run stable.

Yeah, in my earlier post I didn't mean try to port over the 4K PS4 Pro version or anything. In fact, just the idea that they have a 1080P version and a 4K version also means that they could create a lower graphical fidelity version purely for the Switch.

And about the "family friendly" stuff; I understand what you mean, but I don't necessarily think that is as big of a deal to them anymore. Although they DEFINITELY want their First Party games to be family friendly, I think they are much more open to all kinds of Third Party Games than they have ever been before.

    For example: Bayonetta 2.

That game is full of blood and gore and *almost* nudity, and it is a Wii U exclusive.

And about the unique controlls for the Switch versions, I don't think that is necessary. Although it could be cool, I just want a very basic port. Anything to get the game.

If they do create any kind of JoyCon or Switch Pro Controller "special feature", I would like them to create something unique with the HD Rumble feature.

I think they could get some really cool and unique feelings with that feature, and it wouldn't require them to create a new control scheme.

BTW, thanks for the comments guys. It's fun to talk about, haha
