    Private matches?

Is it possible to just have games with friends on both sides?

It not, I hope they make it so - for setting up competitions and tournaments.

In my opinion, this is more of a "must have" then all of the other things people say is a "must have". I mean not being able to 1v1 your friend from the lack of private matches would be a tragedy.
But I am 90% sure that the developers wouldn't dare release this game without it... That's how important you'd think it'd be.

In pvp games, this feature is a "must have.

Private matches are important, if you want to train combos, map knowledge etc. It is also nice to play alone with and against bots, if you are having a bad day. And off course player run tournaments would be impossible without this feature.

On a related note - I don't know if the game has this feature, but I would find it crucially important too:

The ability to partner with a friend. Battlefront has this. So do other games in a variety of ways, often using a lobby system, which I doubt this game has. Point being, some sort of matchmaking system where you can join friends and play on the same team.

We were referring to private matches: where you can basically create a game, pick the map, pick the game mode, invite whoever you want to play with and or against, set bots as opponents if you wish, and in some games edit to a finer detail.

What you are referring to is a party feature which I am 99.99% sure they have. Me and my brother played with each other on the alpha in a party in Dominion and Brawl. We really wished we could of fought each other 1 on 1, doing that would have been a private match.

In videos I've seen things where someone was in the lobby and picking modes they would sometimes scroll and I see the words "private". Now I would imagine that's not just there just because.

Yeah, I know (topic referring to private matches). Having not been able to participate in the Alpha or heard any talk about matchmaking I was just expressing a desire for team composition and formation mechanics that extend beyond - but including - private matchmaking. Sounds like we're set - but - I agree the game also needs private matchmaking capabilities.

I hope it is possible. I have made a PS4 community for sparring and practicing - would be pointless if there are no private matches.

I would be surprised if it there wasn't a way to do private matches.

That being said, as far as my opinion goes, I'd feel safe assuming there will be a way, considering what kind of game this is.
