First female assignment for the Seals is expected next year, and even if it that wasn't the case, so what? You said Brazil was a third world country, it isn't.
And R6 Siege is a great game, happens to be one of the best shooters in years in my opinion. Nothing arcadey about the gameplay so I can get past the silly masks and skins.
Honestly, my biggest nit-pick with Siege, besides the slew of technical problems, is that they threw realism at the wall. Operators like Smoke and Blitz are cool and feel real, but people like Valk'? What sort of top-tier, end-game, "fighting Lex Luther grade bad guys" soldier goes into battle with, not only lacking a helmet, but their face in clear view? At least Twitch wears some identity protection, but a lot of the newer operatives seem dressed for the idea that people HAVE to be able to see how pretty they are.
These people are supposed to be the first response to the scariest things to hit the modern world, but they are so lax that they don't even concern themselves with the possibility of being identified and tracked home? And don't give me any crap about making operatives identifiable during gameplay. Besides the Icons displaying this stuff, most combat happens so fast that you're identifying people after the engagement, not during. Nobody turns a corner, recognizes it's Blackbeard or Smoke and that dictated their response. You spot them, and unless you were trying to be sneaky, you opened fire on the spot. If they survive the initial burst, then the fact it's Smoke comes into play, because he might throw gas at you.
And now that Ubisoft is adding in alternate costumes, identifies are even more out of wack, and it'll just get worse.
Dont get me wrong its a fun game, but it spits on the Tom Clancy brand and the authenticity that R6 was previously known for.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
Haha, the biggest failure of Siege, and the reason I won't play it, was the absolutely unrealistic operator and weapon skins. They had PLENTY of actual military style art design directions to choose for both of these, and instead they decided to add brightly coloured, cartoony, sci-fi, random garbage into the game.
I was fine with the justification for female operators and the different LEO/MIL groups that they included in the game. But the total lack of any sort of confined design direction when it came to the skins just turned me completely off the game. Siege is more about catering to the CS:GO collectables and esports crowds than to tactical gamers now.
Don't forget, there's going to be more Year 2 DLC - let's see how much more Ubisoft is going to desecrate the Rainbow Six lore by including other no-name nation's police units. I hate how in this day and age, the more tactical fans like myself who appreciate authenticity and realism, are ignored in favour of 12 year olds who want smiley face rainbow paint jobs on their guns and stupid colourful outfits, with skull masks. This is the reason why I picked up Rainbow SIx Siege last month for 20 dollars as opposed to buying it at release.
I hope to God RS:S isn't considered canon and they'll go back to including an actual singleplayer campaign in their next iteration.
Add the fact they turned it into a run n gun game with their 3 min matches all because they think the fanbase/community cannot handle being dead for any amount of time. Another game they strayed far to much away from the proper Rainbow Six games.Originally Posted by Cortexian Go to original post

This is one of the biggest, glaring plotholes in the game that everyone seems to overlook. Spetsnaz, FBI SWAT, SAS etc. all killing each other, and taking hostages. It does not make sense at all.Originally Posted by Lolssi Go to original post
It's clear Siege's community is for the pre-pubescent kind, every match I play has some high pitched kid whining incessantly over the mic. It's still an incredibly fun game to play, dont get me wrong, I just think Ubisoft was wrong to slap the Rainbow Six name on it.
