A new article about sound design. Pretty nice read, I really enjoyed the sound design in the game.
I think we also get to see gameplay in snow for the first time.

The ambient sound, sounds great. The guns also sound good too, but I wish the echo was a bit more pronounced. After playing games like Battlefield, and DICE's epic sound design, its kinda hard to be impressed with anything else. But it looks to be a step above Future Soldier's sound design which was already good to begin with.
I read the article hoping to see something about the sound compression, but I was disappointed. Keeping the sound completely uncompressed will be key to the overall quality of the sound. If it was me going through all that trouble to make "authentic" sound only for it to be butchered by making it mute, I would be flipping over tables, having the entire sound department running scared because they don't want to deal with my retribution.Originally Posted by mezzatron Go to original post
Dice are the masters at sound so it's unfair to judge other shooters sound against Battlefield.Originally Posted by EchoFiveKilo Go to original post
Can the Squad game rival or surpass Battlefield in sound? I think the sound in Squad is pretty damn good. I wonder if the sound is compressed at all in that game or in Battlefield 1 for that matter.Originally Posted by Flaw3dGenius23 Go to original post
