I was looking at the one of the news posts on the main website and noticed this about the wear on the gun and just wanted to kind of express my concern. For some people I think this might seem a little to picky of detail but it is kind of annoying to me.
The picture below shows the P416 (as referenced on the new post) now in this gif you can see the wear on the stock grip and magazine - now most weapons come black however unless this particular has been spray with tan over black, the parts I just mentioned should not show wear like that - they usually made out of plastic so the only real wear you will see is scratches and dirt.
Anyway I just wanted to put it out there - if it happens that a dev does just happen to see this post I would love to see this fixed however that being said I'm still going to buy the game either way I just found it a bit of a niggle. Concluding that please feel free to express any opinions you might have on the matter or a similar matter.
Agree that is how my airsoft rifle ages but that is painted. Also I bet the wear is way too fast in game when in reality it would take much more use, hope I'm wrong.Originally Posted by SST_Sparkz Go to original post
Minor things but yeah still.
What exactly is the issue? You click a button every once in a while and your weapon as good as new. I don't even understand why that effect is a feature. Are the players really gonna look at their weapons that much? I can imagine not giving a single **** about what the damn thing looks like.
Oh wait. Is this feature aimed at the pink skin enthusiasts?![]()

Would the wear on weapons actually have an effect on the weapon itself. If you don't clean it, will it start jamming? In any case, if I can spray paint the gun, I wouldn't mind spraying a picture of a huge middle finger up Yves's buttocks, to display ten years of rage and frustration with Ubi Softs policies.Originally Posted by Sp--pyBrown Go to original post
Jamming would be nice if it was realistic. Games tend to overdo these things often and you have gun jamming every 15 minutes.Originally Posted by Dcopymope Go to original post
Yeah like in Gears of War. We know realism hasn't been Ubi Softs forte for a long time. Adding wear on the weapons is a waste of time if it doesn't effect how the gun shoots.Originally Posted by Lolssi Go to original post
It's a nice touch, a little detail I'm sure someone will oooh and aww over, but I'd rather it not affect gameplay. With how things have been, weapons will wear to 100% in an hour of gameplay and will begin jamming every few reloads. It will just become a massive aggravation that isn't worth bearing for the sake of a little dust and scrape on a weapon to tickle your fancy.
