Update: I don't plan to update, but after I restarted Frontier again it did update my "leg 1" timer to 5+ days.... Don't see any reason to update and lose those map pieces....

ALL GOOD for me.

i downloaded the update, read this post, cleared the cache, event is in leg one and i have NO problems.
i don't lost pieces, because the bug gave me the track "lost decent" and it's still there.
same leaderboard positions as before, ready for a ride.
i only lost the blueprints in the garage for the new KTM 450.

CLEAR CACHE before play the newest update, maybe this help anyone.

After update , I'm stuck at "Verifying Download" page, with the bar at 0%.

same here, but on my phone it force close after 100%

Do you still have lost descent? When I first looked I had it, then saw this topic and checked again to find I needed map pieces, but it still shows my best time.

But you havent really lost those blueprints from leg 1, right? Since you still have your LB position, you'll earn them in a few days when leg 1 is over, right?

Glad you have successfully navigated the pitfalls of the event; I hope more of us do. I think I am on the other side of this; I wont have Lost Descent unless I add the 4 map pieces for "winning" leg 1, and since upgrading would lose those 6 pieces I spent time/gems to get..... I think my best option is to end leg#1 with the earlier update, win the map and the 8 KTM blueprints... and THEN upgrade before I do anything more in leg#2. With luck I dont lose anything I earned in leg#1.

That SEEMS like a viable alternative.... but with no Devs offering any advice here for my situation, I feel like I am taking a bit of a chance.... every day I log in with the "old" software and half-expect to see my game to suddenly tell me I finished the entire KTM event early like so many other peoples games did. The irony of this all though is that getting into the top 5% each Leg is a cakewalk for me(most of us old-timers, really)... all the "event suspense" is caused by the bugs and not the event.

yip i have my old leaderboard position and earn 8 blueprint pieces after leg 1 is over.

i see a new thread for ios, where someone has the 4.8.1 update and the message comes again that leg 1 is over.

what is wrong with the content of our mobile phones?

the QA is testing with clear phones i think, but the reality is different we dont clear our cache.

@RL: Let the app clear cache after an update! and we get lesser bugs.

I just downloaded the new update, which caused all my progress in the KTM-Event to be lost. This means that i lost all map pieces of the new map, which i had spent roughly 100 gems on. Furthermore, after having played the KTM-Event for a while, before the update, I reached top 150, so i went back to check if at least my times where still there. I noticed, that, although I am still being displayed in the top 1% in the KTM-Event, every time a finish a run in the Event my screen shows that I have made a NEW RECORD! I am bothered because i don't know if I have to redo all my runs or if I am still in the top 1%. BTW the leaderboard bugs people complain about since the start of the Event have not been fixed for me yet and my game still freezes at curtain times causing me to wait 1 min for the screen to unfreeze. Having said all, that I would appreciate any response from the Forum-Leaders.

And BTW i have never played a game before that had this poor of a customer support and this many bugs and glitches. I don't want to point the finger on anybody but some people's incompetence in this world is unparalleled. The game has caused me a lot of misfortune in the last few days and although this may not make me stop playing the game, I am 100% that this wont attract any new players. Please fix the issues ASAP!!!

Last night i finished collecting all 10 pieces for the event track and i unlocked it, did a 3 fault run or something just to register a run. Today i loaded up the game and it forced me to do the update. I didn´t clean cache or anything, just went ahead and did the update. After it was done, logged back into the game and i still had the track. Thank god...I won´t be playing the first leg anymore, i´ll just wait til it end so i can get the KTM blueprints. Just thought you should know this, there´s probably a (high) chance that you´ll be forced to update before the first leg ends.
