honestly i dont know why he has two parries. his light parry really isn't worth it cuz you can barely get anything off of it.the heavy parry is far better to use.Originally Posted by RacingMiku14 Go to original post
Ive noticed his Light Parries come in handy for those people who are good at getting outta the shield-bash heavy he gets. Build up a rythem and it will catch them off guard. Gotten a lot of kills because they didn't expect it with a sliver of life left. One thing I haven't figured out is if it counters heavies or not. I haven't been able to time it right.
One thing I have noticed is that the warlords guard break seems to take longer than it used to in beta causing some of our attack chains to not work anymore
... now when I try and guard break someone who is dodging, their dodge is actually faster than my guard break ... tested this for like an hour with a berseker buddy of mine where he was just dodge attackign to the left then right over and over ... so I even knew where he was going to dodge and when ... and my gaurd break would not be completed before his dodge attack was completed ... i even tried gaurd breaking just before he dodged and i could see the gaurd breaking animation happening but his dodge hit would land before the gaurd break animation completed
GB counters dodging, light attacks counters GB, but in the case of Assassins, they will always come out on top if they input evade+counter. If they dont input their attack when they evade they will still get GB. Good way to deal with that is feinting and parrying their dodge attackOriginally Posted by King-Odin69 Go to original post
Now I'm not really consistent with this, because I don't really come across too many feinters, but. If you do suspect someone might be going for a feint, try using the light parry instead, because (in my limited) experience you'll hit him with that light attack before he can follow up on his feint. If he doesn't feint, you'll block and hit like normal.Originally Posted by xilixer Go to original post
For all I know though this is all theorycrafting and I only hit the guy because bad timing/lag. Could be something to look into.
edit: Tested with a bot, doesn't seem to be a guaranteed hit after a feint. It managed to heavy parry my light parry =/
Frustrated question:
In the moveset it says that "Shield Counter Combo" is the following: Parry > GB > Light attack.
The last Light attack, which is the same poke as in many other moves, I just CAN'T get right!
Always end up doing "slow" normal light.
In this guide it says that I can follow it up with a Heavy, this seems to work OK, it will always come from left though, which is very predictable.
So WHY does it say Light attack in the Moveset? AND I've seen the move a few times when it finally works (5% of the time)
Thanks in advance, from a frustrated Warlord![]()
It really is the same timing as the headbutt into stab. You need to confirm the block, THEN hit light attack. Practice on a lvl 1 or 2 bot, I'm sure you'll get the hang of it.Originally Posted by Pollux_dk Go to original post
Also the reason you'll want to do light is that heavy is not guaranteed and can be parried by a player that knows warlord well. That happens more and more in my experience due to its popularity. Your third option is to go into guard break, but it's not guaranteed and people are gitting gud.
Watch to this video guys this Warlord goes insane alone agains 4
