I know this has probably been asked a million times before, I'm new to this particular forum, so sorry for asking. I love playing The Division solo, though I'm sure some would argue till they turn blue that "that's not the way it was meant to be played." The game's been out for almost a year, just wondering if Ubisoft is planning on letting consumers actually own the game one day by patching an offline mode that doesn't rely on their servers to be played.
hmmm when i first got the game this irked me intensley but actually the servers keep up with your character amazingly well so i have never lost any progress (apart from when i got reset to 0 xD) who knows how they have implemented rng ,even crafting etc but if it hasnt happened yet im pretty sure never gonna happen.
I'm just hoping that just as a thank you to the fans and a general act of goodwill for PR purposes, Ubisoft might patch an offline mode for The Division. They have other games that don't require an online connection for solo play.Originally Posted by Fram3w3rk Go to original post
Nope.
Offline is a breeding ground for hacks and you're gonna have to go online to update the game, anyways. You might say "wipe everything when you do go online to stop the potential hacks", what about those who didn't hack? Progress gone. 15-20 hours just fade from existence.
It would be like playing the PTS.
There is no reason why they couldn't make it strictly 100% offline with characters locked to that version only just like any other single player game. I doubt they would even consider doing it though.Originally Posted by Merphee Go to original post
It would be easy to make a offlinemode as well as most of us already have most of the content installed. But then alot of peeps would stay away from pvp and dz, and that would be bad for the statistics. The shelflife would diminge. I would love an offlinemode that would let me play the way i want to. No lag, no crashes when engaging several npcs and no annoying people that harrass and curse.
PERFECT - Division Utopia
Makes no sense. I stay away from pvp and dark zone anyway. I treat this game as a single player game. The only time I ever see other players is when I'm in a safe house. Ubisoft is only pushing an agenda to redefine ownership and to try to spearhead the concept of games as a service. They're doing it again with For Honor. If that game succeeds and the trend continues, other developers will follow suit. Not good.Originally Posted by Shotokan_Murder Go to original post
