Why I love/hate to farm in the DZ not the LZ - solo

I'll start with a comparison for the LZ & DZ in my skill build:-

LZ - Fast travel to the safe house, run outside, hide behind a car and let off a couple of seeker mine. Boom Bulletking and his merry red men are dead. Thanks for the loot. Run off to the next boss dropping a seeker mine here and there to take out the poor little reds that stand no chance.

DZ - Fast travel to DZ6 West, run out the exit and turn left. At the next cross roads are at least 4 Elites who can take me down in 2 shots. Throw out a flame turret and seeker mines for the next minute until they are dead. Turn right and run to the next cross roads and repeat but this time whist hiding in cover my screen turns a lovely shades of yellows and oranges. I turn round to find a big fat cleaner has spawned behind me and is lighting my *** like a giant cigar. I need to find cover before I burn to death or get 2 shot by the LMB. Whilst this is going on you still need to look out for rogues and maybe nip off to collect a supply drop or 2.

    Now for collecting gear :-

LZ - Walk up to the loot whilst holding x and its in the bag. If you die before you pick up the loot, you re-spawn and its waiting there for you.

DZ - Walk up to the loot whilst holding x and its in the container. Now with high tension make your way to the extraction, clear it of any npc's. Call the extraction again with high tension wait for the helicopter and hope you get an extraction without getting killed. If you die your loot is either there or its been stolen.

    Rogues:-

solo vs solo, stand a chance if they don't get the jump on me. Then its only if the flames and bleed keep them occupied until I can run off into the distance.

solo vs 4 or 8 man team. unfair against 4 man teams and 8 man teams should not be "possible".

    Conclusion:-

Love the atmosphere and tension, hate "team" rogues.

The LZ is good to get gear to level up but its not exciting as the DZ(I think this is why people want a PVE DZ).

    Yes I know:-
I can stay out the DZ, I can team up with other people (and I do when I wish to), you can't please everyone, I do have other builds that would do better in the DZ.
The DZ is a law less place so ANYTHING is permitted, so if you don't like it tough luck.

You explained this perfectly. You'll get the PVE DZ then complain it's boring and be back in the PVP DZ because you're addicted to the tension and fear of death.

This is why I have suggested that in the LZ, you have a pack like in the DZ, and you can't fast travel with gear in it, and you have to get it back to a Safe House before you can use it. Story wise, it would need to be inspected to make sure it was field ready before use.

In addition, put enemies equivalent to Hunters in the area of Safe Houses.

Now, if they had something like that in place, you could start to build on things like spending Phoenix credits to have the contents sent directly to a Safe House (story wise, you are calling in an extraction team to come take them, it just never shows that for sake of programming resources).

Played in a empty server last night and my God was it soo boring, there is no challenge whatsoever without players about and tbh the whole feel of the dz just seemed completely off. I'd have rather been running Lexington than that bore-fest.

The last thing I want is a PVE DZ. The DZ is designed to be a lawless place. If anything a more balanced PVP area would be nice. The start of survival you are strip down to a hazmat suite to go in the DZ, maybe you should when entering the normal DZ? But then whats the point of farming for gear if your stripped of it when you enter!
