It depends on how they go about this. If they just expand the DZ, it would be a big waste of time. im not confident in Massive and I don't know any ETF Members to get a take on what they will be telling Massive.

If that turns out to be true, I'm done...

I think there is plenty of PvE map, they just need to use it better.

Why can't it be populated with activities like we did in the mission to lvl 30?

Why can't we get escort VIP in the open world?

Why can't we get secure item in the open world?

Why can't we get deliver item to point X in the open world?

This game is trying to be something it's not. Focusing only on PvP is just lazy. No need to program AI or missions. Just change the scenery and you have a whole new PvP game mode. Good job...

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy PvP in REAL PvP games...
When has this game ever focused on PVP?

All the patches and dlc have been PVE focused.

It's not PVE vs PVP it's just funny how every update has been PVE related and pvp gets its first update since the game has released and now they want to cry about it. Like this hasn't been known since day 1 of the DLC overviews.

Is that why people are already complaining and a PVP update and a people are complaining about the PVE's complaining about the complaining.

Not everything has to be about you.
Incursions were really just part of the original game, released later to make it look like we were getting something extra. If it were a paid dlc, then you may have a point, but it wasn't.

    Survival is not purely PVE.

Underground is lazy crap. A half dozen missions that take place in a dozen different rooms randomly stitched together. Hardly compares to opening up the main map further...

Because they aren't interested in creating new PVE modes or story missions apparently. I guess it takes to much effort...

As I said in another thread, almost all PVP players will play PVE, but only some of the PVE players (which tend to be the majority in games that offer both) will play the PVP content. Consequently, it makes sense if the majority of the new content leans towards PVE content, not PVP.
Look, I'm not against adding PVP content, even though I'll never play it, because they have no idea how to make a properly balanced PVP game where the outcomes are determined by skill. I'm simply annoyed because I've been hoping for expansions that continue the storyline, expand the map into new areas, and bring new types of missions and environments. Instead, we get tunnels, a timed mode in the existing map, and a bigger PVP area? Not what I'm looking for in a game, and I think you'll find that I'm not alone in that if there's no substantial PVE content added in the next dlc. Just watch the player base dwindle further. I am positive of that.

I guess you don't know about the PvP focus group (aka Elite Task Force) they put together, or the announcement in the last two State of the Game videos.

I'm just saying that the devs are trying to turn this game into something it's not. This game is neither Counter Strike nor Battlefield. Not allocating resources to expand the storyline with additional missions is lazy. What is PvP really but a closed-off section of a map and throwing us into it to fight each other either solo or as a team? They can do that anywhere. Close off a district or a DZ area, place three flags in random spots, divide everyone into teams (agents vs rogues) and call it DZ06 Conquest. That's a PvP mode that I could get into, not the current ongoing joke...

When it comes to pvp vs pve, the Amount of pve content and substance in the existing pve content is totally controlled by the developer and cannot be changed by the player. On the other hand pvp action can be a different game every time the player(s) logs in, the players control the gameplay. When you have a huge map with the same sparse content and lack of venues, it is just repeat, repeat, repeat.

This isn't to say I don't think PvP needs a patch, or that the DZ doesn't need some new **** to do, but if the only map expansion this game is going to receive thus far will be DZ only, then I anticipate a lot of backlash.

I mean, really, the LZ still sucks. There are no random encounters worth a crap. HVT's? Give me a break. Named bosses are only farmable every four hours. The same old missions, with the same old difficulty, with every single enemy in the SAME ******* LOCATIONS, I mean ffs, why cant they randomize enemy spawns in the missions? Incursions? Yeah right. Nobody really plays them anymore, if you try, you better have a group already, or good luck getting a match, but queue up for Lexington, and instantly find a full team.

This whole game needs another do-over. So many useless weapon talents, so many worthless character talents. So many useless skills, like crowd control that elite and named enemies don't even react to half the time. But sure. Lets add in more map space for a part of the game where people only play to **** other people over. Thats sure to bring the players back to the DZ.
