Like I say I'm not against people teaming up this is TD after all, all I'm saying from my experience is that the game definitely groups players up to the same instance as other groups, so it's not really been invented by people on here.Originally Posted by M0J033 Go to original post
And if there was a separate queue for Solo and Teams, or if teaming with other players once inside was impossible, then I might be inclined to agree with you.Originally Posted by Nopvedz4you Go to original post
But there isn't.
There is one queue and, while the matchmaking algorithms might strive to keep groups with groups and solo with solo upon entering, there is no reason whatsoever to expect that if you queue solo, you won't end up in an instance that has team, or that a team won't potentially form after you've entered.
"Solo Survival" implies an expectation that everyone in the instance has entered solo, and will remain solo.
But this is not true, is it? Threads like these are proof that "Solo Survival" does not actually exist, and that people have only ASSUMED that, if they enter solo, they will be placed in a solo-only instance.
But such a thing as a specifically "solo-only" instance does not really exist, does it?
Therefor, there is no "Solo Survival", only "Survival".
So just because there is no option to que solo then it can't be a thing, I've got the horder trophy, so I've played alot and when I run solo I've never come across a group. There is definitely mm in place for solo players just it isn't advertised, again I have no problem with teamsters but I'm just stating what I've noticed from my own experience.Originally Posted by M0J033 Go to original post

I realize I'm arguing semantics here but, as far as the game is concerned, there is only ONE Survival.
How you choose to queue for it or play once inside is irrelevant.
I only point this out because, I find that when people continuously refer to it as "Solo Survival", it could potentially be misleading to those not familiar with the DLC.
If a new player were to come here, looking for information as to whether or not they might want to buy the DLC, and they see people referring to "Solo Survival", they might mistakenly believe that there are separate queues for Solo and Teams, when there isn't.
Referring to is as "Solo Survival" is a misnomer, since no such thing actually exists.
Again, if solo players can potentially be placed into an instance with teams (which they can), and if there is the option to form groups once inside the instance (which there is) then, technically, there is no such thing as "Solo Survival".
The expectation that, if you enter solo, you will only encounter other solo players is simply a fallacy, propagated by the use of the (fabricated) term "Solo Survival".
There is only one Survival, and it can and will contain both solo and team players at any given time.
Again, if solo players can potentially be placed into an instance with teams (which they can), and if there is the option to form groups once inside the instance (which there is) then, technically, there is no such thing as "Solo Survival".
That is true and I'm not disagreeing with you but there is a system in place to try to group others up with the same group numbers, now what people do inside survival is completely up to them and I have no problem with this. But I can see why others have a problem with this again even though they are doing nothing wrong, if they were then massive would have stopped people grouping once in the game.
It's a good thing some of these groups literally have no clue wth they're doing though:

Still clueless as to why their third player didn't flank me, I kept one finger ready on the "roll" button the entire time just in case.
