Much like the rest of the game, you have to decide if it's enjoyable for you. From a pure progression standpoint, no it's not worth playing after 40. However, if you enjoy it, then yes, continue to play.Originally Posted by Newfieforever73 Go to original post
Nothing in this game offers anything tangible for grinding and gearing. The name of the game is putting together unique builds to run the same content, but built a different way. Problem is, the build diversity is lacking due to the PvP/PVE environment.
If I can go back in time to 1.3, yes, Heroic was a blast and had its own loyal following. The matchmaking in 1.3 worked great and instantanous
1.4 killed UG for me. 1.5 brought back some of the difficulty but the Tact, Reclaimer. Sentry, and Deadeye days are gone, Its no longer exciting to get teal gear cause were swimming in it now and the matchmaking no longer works unless you have 15+ minutes to try and assemble a team. The world tier system might work for LZ and named bosses but it didnt work for UG
If you only play a game for rewards then no content in the game is worth doing once you reach max level because if you can already complete the content with what you have and you only care about rewards, and you need to do that content to get better rewards, then there is no reason to continue because you've reached the finish line.
But if you enjoy playing the "content" of the game modes such as enjoy the actual battle and fights with the players or NPC's in a game mode and that floats your boat, then whether you reach max level or not, the game mode is still worth playing.
I thought the main motivation for getting to Underground level 40 was to be able to purchase high end blueprints using Phoenix credits. Those days are gone,
I was never good enough to play at the Heroic level, but appreciated that it was available for elite players. Why, oh why, did they take it away? All you would need is to buff NPC's with over 2 million HP.
