    GTX 980 Ti performance

So I'm running a Palit GTX 980 TI super jetstream graphics card which has a boost clock of 1367MHZ from factory accompanied by an I7 4790k and 16 gig of ddr3.

My problem is i had fairly bad performance on a 1080P 24" monitor even on low-medium settings for some reason. Now I changed to a 1440P ultrawide 34" monitor and on the same settings I'm getting the same performance which is 35-100 fps.

I've been browsing some forums for information and most people say a 980 ti should be able to handle 3440x 1440 okay with fairly high settings. Could it be that my graphics card is not working properly?

PS. I get similar results in other games too. like GTA 5 on high settings - 1080P
Wither 3 actually ran pretty ok with 50-60 fps on high-ultra - 1080p

    Any help will be appriciated.

I'm running 3 monitors on a GTX 980TI and playing games on the 34" 2560x1080 with the other 2 27" monitors 1920x1080 also on for email and news etc.
I run the Division all on ultra but vsync at 60FPS and have never had a problem.

Have you updated your card drivers?
I running Windows 10-64bit and using driver version 373.06.
Refused to update the last 3/4 driver releases after checking the Geoforce forums & seeing all the problems folks are having with the latest drivers.
When I see 3-4 pages of good reports on their forum, only then will I update the drivers.

I did update my driver and noticed some tearing sometimes when I alt tab. I'm also using my 1080P 24" 144hz monitor for other stuff. Thing is i was getting similar performance on 1080P too as I'm getting on 1440 ultrawide

Try the same drivers I'm using and see if that solves your problem.
Are you overclocking the card ?

If I overclock my card I get crashes on Project Cars .. their devs state that any overclocking will cause their game to crash.
Had no reason to overclock playing the division and therefore never had one crash ~ except the game crashing as it does occasionally

The game is just poorly optimised for pc, I run 2 GTX980Ti's in SLI, with a 6700K, 32Gb ram and a 500GB SSD and at 1080p Ultra I get around 100fps, if I put it to my monitors native resolution of 3840x2160 then the performance drops to less than 20fps.

No i didn't overclock it, didn't really have a reason to cuz i was playing in 1080P. Just played Witcher 3 for a couple hours in 3440x1440 on medium settings. It ran okay, Smaller fps drops are not even noticeable thanks to G-sync

thats weird as my rig never drops below 40fps mostly a steady 60fps @ 3840x2160

Sorry but no, your problem is you fell for the sli scam. The game runs fine for me on A SINGLE 980TI, ultra settings@144hz, Core I7@4.6, 1080P. Admittedly it's only 1080p but it runs like a champ.

Hey everyone, new to the forum. Been playing the Division since the day it was released with an MSI 980TI overclclocked to 4GHz on the memory clock and 1.5GHz core clock. All smooth as butter with frame rates between 50-60fps in 1440P. Something is up with his card it sounds like.
