Small Room Issue
Hi,
I have a small living room. I have just dance 2020 and ps4 camera v2. The height of my camera is around 1.6m above and the allowable distance for me to move is 1.8-1.9m from the camera behind me is a wall. But it wont detect my moves. I dont know why. If i purchase a move controller will it resolve the issue?
PS: please dont make me break a wall on my apartment.
Help pls.
thanks

Hi there! (Don't break a wall lol)
It won't detect your moves you say?
Does the camera draw your silhouette in the game when you play? Because if it's able to track your body and it doesn't detect any moves saying Perfect, Good or anything else, that would be too weird and it would depend on the song you're trying to play (although most songs in 2020 have a mostly effective tracking.)
Or is it not drawing your body or any figure at all, having difficulties to detect it correctly?
I saw a streamer playing in similar conditions like yours in a small room. One first issue could be that if you're standing too close to your wall, the shadow you project into the wall is detected by the camera and that interference makes it difficult for it to track you right. That's been a common issue for years and you'd have to keep a bit more distance from the wall, even if your camera wouldn't see you from head to toes.
Another possible issue could be the furniture around you. If the camera can see those as well, it could make interference because of the shadows they create. If you can, move them around the room to see if makes any difference.
I'm assuming the height of 1.6m is above your TV but that shouldn't be a problem either. Try to put it at different heights to see if it makes a difference as well.
Don't worry, it's a common thing to take some time experimenting with your setup to see if the camera responds but yeah, you're already in a bit of a disadvantage if your room is small, Xbox Kinects are a bit better for that kind of setup. If you want some faster help, you can hit me up on a private message (going to my profile) and send me a pic of your room (or ask me for my Discord so we can talk there) so I can try to assist you a bit better haha.
And yeah the PS Move is the best option, get one if you already tried experimenting with the camera for some days. Good luck.
