Son, when I went to school, there was no such thing as this Participation Award Male Bovine Excrement. We kept score and there were winners and losers, something that the special snowflakes of the weakling MEllennial generation don't have a f-ing clue about. You see, when I went to school, people actually were rewarded for doing well in school and such while those who didn't got nothing.Originally Posted by mathatter911 Go to original post
And it's not D&D. It's FFG's Star Wars RPG system.
So your, for lack of a better metaphor, closing statement is that you were born before me? Hahaha nice try princess. Unless you born before the bicentennial, you point is moot. Because my post said I think they should have had some weapons skins added you assume, wrongly I might add, that I'm young. And to that point, younger generations are not all about themselves. Every generation has people like that. Yours, mine, every generation.Originally Posted by Zathras23 Go to original post
You're right about Millennials. I saw it everyday when I was working before I retired. Not all of them, but the vast majority. The last straw for me was 2 of my closest friends in the world ditched me over the election here in the US. I guess I shouldn't have told them who I voted for, but the hate and disdain that spewed from their mouths once they heard was horrendous. And yes, both were Millennials. Both have been silent since the election and the barrage of test and voice mail personal attacks. A lot of my older friends told me, sadly, its what's become of that generation. Everybody wins, they want to be at the top with minimal to no effort, self-entitled smart-asses. Again, I'm not talking about all of them, just the ones I know for sure. Well, actually the snowflakes that somehow need therapy to go on living, safezones to seek comfort in, those mainly. Ubisoft/Massive really care about one thing, money, that's the bottom line. I can't blame them. But it is funny when I see a company like Bungie that spends the time to celebrate major holidays in there game, but yet we still have the same snow covered streets, the same dude either hanging up or taking down decorations in the BoO, never changes, always the same. Too much to ask for I guess...Originally Posted by CapnKel Go to original post
Hmm so, according to you, my point is moot if I wasn't born before the Bicentennial. Let's see, what was I doing in July of 1976? Oh yeah, enjoying my summer vacation after my junior year in high school, that's what. Guess my point isn't moot after all, is it. Also I would agree that younger generations are not about themselves....until the MEllenneals came on the scene. Never have I seen a more selfish and weaking group of people...ever.Originally Posted by mathatter911 Go to original post
Lol this thread is priceless. Went from a question of why the devs didn't celebrate the new year with some items (as pretty much all MMOs do) even to show that they have the desire to add the minimum of new content to this game, and turns into a circle jerk of old farts whinging about younger generations. As if your **** generation's **** doesn't stink. It's true that the older you get, the more immature you become. Thanks for further proving that. Maybe that's part of senility kicking in.
It would be a nice change if topics around here stayed, well, on topic. I'm also surprised they didn't add anything to signify a new year, but when they add... crappy hat or sweaters on Christmas, I'm not surprised. They don't really care about adding content to this game like other MMOs. Probably don't deem it worth their precious time.
So what, Look at Rockstar, making billions off of Grand Theft Auto 5 and they give their players a few days worth of snow at Christmas and New Years even though players begged for them to do it a bit longer. And they havent added any new songs for I dont know how long. Yes their DLCs are free but their Sharkcards are expensive, One hundred dollars to get anything substantial. A sports car will run you 20 dollars and a yacht will cost 100 real world bucks.Originally Posted by Shadow__Hazard Go to original post
Anyways..... its always Christmas in the Division, dont really look forward to anything around the holidays.
