The game really, really needs new story content.
I'm not surprised it's boring as hell if you haven't even extracted yet, but if you were able to play the gamemode like me i bet you would enjoy it, I don't let anyone extract and I become the hunter

Which is what survival should have been and not some second rate Day Z or king of the hill survival mode (that's a supposedly paid DLC lol)

I really enjoy the Survival challenges. Many risks to conquer. Rewards are like most other parts of this game: Random Junk with a small chance of good loot.

Beat it again with a buddy a couple days ago. Between both of us we had 26 caches and 0 items were kept out of those.

Survival is a terrible time waster.

After my initial reservations and general dislike of Survival, I've now come to the conclusion that it's actually saved the game for me. It's not without its issues but, the actual gameplay itself is very rewarding and presents lots of options, it's totally different playing solo, compared to being in a group. The rewards aren't great but, that's not what it's about. Lots of other ways in the game to get loot, if that's what your "end game" is. I love the fact that you can choose PVE over PVP as well. I've not set foot in the regular DZ since Survival came out and, I don't miss the ganking, trolling and griefing one bit!

My biggest issue with it, is that in multiple runs, I have never spawned once on the east side of the map! I'd like to explore some new areas, becasue I know some others inside out. Some annoying bugs need sorting out too, like getting stuck on things and, the helicopter being invisible sometimes but, apart from doing some daily's and a few named bosses, I spend most of my time on survival now.

Well now you bring up a good point. Of all the times I've played Survival I've never, ever, seen the chopper at the crash site. Is it just me or what???? Is there a glitch????

And its my understanding the next DLC will NOT be story related either, some arena in the DZ I presume, sigh!!!!!

The chopper is usually up on top of something, like a building or in a tree. The crash on top of building is particularly hard to identify.

Survival is a neat idea in a flawed wrapping. Not having any advantages/gear somewhat related to your gear level is a way to disconnect me from the main game = bad

Well this is what happens when people in the forums cry about the drops so much. When you get 20 caches a day, you're bound to get the same crap. When you can get a piece of teal 256 gear from killing random red guys in the LZ, you're bound to get the same thing you got yesterday.

For months people complained about the best gear being locked in the hardest incursions and the dark zone....now you can get that best gear from walking out of the BOO. What do you expect?
