    My PVP Idea

In all honesty I think this is a better way to handle the rogue mechanic in year 2 and will be more Tom Clancy-ish.

Im a big Mortal Kombat X player and they have a faction system. You pick a group and you have objectives that gain your group points.

    Year 2

    1. You pick either 2nd Wave (The Division with Base of Operations is the Post Office same as before) or 1st Wave (Rouges with Base of Operations in the Underground within The Dark Zone.)

    2. The entire map is Multiplayer unlease you turn the mode off (turning it off stops your ability to contribute to your faction or gain access to faction specific perks.)

    3. Division Agents control the LZ and Rogues control the DZ. and increase the server limit for the entire map.

    4. There are weekly/Daily assignments that add points to your specific faction...however they have to be done in the other factions controlled area. Division has to go inside the DZ and Rogues go inside the LZ. Other things contribute to the point system like enemy kills, etc

    5. Example of a mission is to "Go to this area and extract antivirals or intel" A successful extract gives faction points.

    6. All enemy agents are alerted when an extraction is in progress but the timer is shorter than a usual extraction becuase the entire enemy group will coverge on you to stop your progress.

    7. You can leave your group and switch sides at anytime however there is a 12 hour in game cooldown where you have no faction perks, and cant collect any faction rewards.

    8. Agents can tag any agents seen in the field to see if they are apart of the opposing group. If the tag is successful than the tagged agent and group go on manhunt.

Again I would like to say all this is optional and can be turned on or off at either base of operations.

Just a thoughy to add some spice to the game.

    .
I have discussed this with friends before... they all wish they could be 1st wave

Personally, I don't like the idea of being able to switch factions, though.

That's actually some interesting ideas right there.

I've missed a faction system with some faction specific gear and even abilities. Thought it was impossible in a game as The Division tho, since you are, well, with The Division.
Your idea of 1st and 2nd wave is cool tho!

I don't have a problem with grinding since that's basically what MMO's are all about in the end. However, the grinding in The Division seems kind of pointless at the moment. I just keep playing 'cause I still like the game.
It's just, you get sooooo much gear whatever you do that getting GS 256 takes a couple of hours. Now it's all about just finding and tweaking small parts of the set up.
But grinding some kind of faction rep for neat rewards would be cool!

I like the idea. No matter what year 2 brings us, at least I hope there actually IS a year 2.

Some nice thoughts OP. I have a few issues I don't quite get

    6. If the maps bigger then surely the extraction timer will need to be bigger to compensate?

    7. Why a 12 hour cool down?

    8. What do you mean by tagging players and becoming manhunt?

    1. No clue how long the timer should be.....They would have to PTS that.

    2. There should be a penalty for constantly switching factions. Nothing game breaking but it should be a big decision that isnt taken lightly.

    3. Tagging should be like the pulse but at a closer proximity.

Its when you scan and mark them as friendly or an enemy agent.

No..? I don't get the idea of this. Is this a gamemode like survival because that's what it sounds like. Pvp idea? Where's the pvp tho? All you said was pick a side and go do pointless objections for some credits

So your own faction isn't already on the map, you mark a random player and it turns out they are part of your own faction. They are now on the map as friendly.

If the random player you tagged was from the opposing faction, that enemy player is now highlighted for everyone in your own faction to see on the map as enemy targets.

So when you mentioned manhunt in #8 you literally mean go and hunt the marked player and not become manhunt status? I'm confused?
