Good Evening!
I've been trying to figure out the in-game voice chat, and I'm not quite sure how it works.
Generally, I use Discord if I'm playing with friends, but if I randomly matchmake with someone, I'm not sure how to use the Voice Chat.
I went to the Settings to see if there was a key bind for "Push to Talk", but I was not able to find it.
I have my mic set to "Open", in case anyone can possibly hear me.
But, if anyone could help me figure out how to use the in-game chat, I'd appreciate any advice
Thanks for your help! You guys have been awesome in my previous posts!
Thank you!Originally Posted by POIPLE5 Go to original post
I will have to give that a try.
I have my mic set to "Open" as well, so I'm not sure how that works.

You can see when others are speaking, since there is a little symbol by their name over their head. Kind of strange that there is no feedback telling you whether your mic is transmitting voice or not.
Thank you for the Feedback guys
I also think it would be nice to have some sort of notification to make sure that your voice is being recognized.
I've seen the notification when others speak, but I can't tell if I'm being heard or not.
I may have to get someone to join my game on PC to test this theory out.
For the life of me I cannot find where I enable the 'Press to Talk' ability. I am constantly transmitting right now so everyone has to listen to my heavy breathing. Any ideas?Originally Posted by POIPLE5 Go to original post
I have never to this day got my mic working in watchdogs 2 or at least i suspect i haven't. i've done all the setup in uplay to point at the correct devices etc, and i see players regularly who have that symbol as though they are 'typing or saying something' but most of the time i don't hear them and i get no response when i talk either. there's only so much effort i was going to throw at it, so gave up on this being a feature i could make use of.
I turned my mic off because one time I believe I offend someone when the game first started and one player I was doing a co op with stopped playing with me because I didn't have a mic and he assumed I didn't hear him saying this player don't have a mic I'm gone.Originally Posted by Skauron Go to original post
If you go to settings, you can turn "Voice Chat" to off if you don't have the option on your mic itself. This may be the easiest way to turn it off when you're heavy breathing.
Or you could change it to not "auto detect" the keyboard layout and assign the key you'd like. There's a really great guide here if you want to take a look.
