I use FireCrest when playing solo all the time. I found the crowd control to work much better for my play style than pure DPS.
iv used it too, I actually like the idea of the set, however you can use a flame turret with any other set and basically get the same crowd control

Well thats why farming materials, credits and phoenix credits is important ontop of farming gear. My advice is 4 man HVTs every week plus bottom 2 dailey HVTs. Lexington. World bosses. & share.

    You'll gear up fast.

    Eliminate crit damage all together

Leave crit damage but remove all crit buffs from gear. Only have crits tied to skills, the weapon, or weapon mods.

Edit: I am not saying it would be good to proceed with either of these at this point in the game. Just putting it out there as things that could be done to simplify the game some and maybe should have been considered.

Look at how much they had to buff up enemies in 1.3 because of the huge amounts of damage SOME people were doing with pulse/smart cover builds. Then that led to all the problems with 1.3, that led to 1.4.

If crit damage were never in the game, the problems in 1.2 and 1.3 might never have happened.
Why not just calculate crit hits by hit location? I know we already have headshot damage but shouldn't head shots and all hits on vital areas not covered by body armour (neck, side chest cavity, abdomen etc) all count as critical?

I know it is an RPG but half the problem with the chaotic mess that is PvP in the DZ is that you don't have to have any skill aiming a weapon, just add plenty of CHC on gear and hip fire running about in circles. If crit hits were based upon getting hits on critical parts of the body and if armour mitigation only worked for shots actually stoped by your body armour, we could inject a bit more genuine skill into the equation.

Too many variable ? We talk about the division right ?

This game is already a dumb down "rpg" if you think this game is complex go take a look at other rpg.

In all seriousness the problem is not the number of variable but the problem come from a really bad design and bad devs. The only way to fix it is to hire professional devs who know what they do.
And also massive have to to take a clear and fix decision about what they want do for the game and stop do random stuff and hope it will work.

    - Uncomplicated: whoever made this talent should be kicked in the nuts, we should have learned from launch that any talent with a flat DPS % buff becomes mandatory, and so has the FAMAS / AB build become mandatory (at least for maximum effectiveness, obviously other stuff works, I actually have way more fun running deadeye). Either tweak this so it can only apply to weapons named "FAMAS" or just change it outright, IMO.

    - Damage mitigation: Because firearms scales like crap and firearms / skill builds really aren't practical, everyone stacks stamina and only cares about armor. We all end up so tanky endgame that you barely take cover to reload and generally just stroll around blasting stuff with your OP LVOA-C thanks to the aforementioned uncomplicated. Change armor to only apply while in cover, IMO.

    - Ineffective weapons: burst weapons especially need some love, but I think outside of those it's not like there are any I just never see used. Maybe burst weapons need the stability cranked way up or need less delay between bursts so that frantic clicking can shoot bursts faster, I'm not sure. Burst weapons IRL are great so I'd hate to see them get removed.
I agree 1000% Alpha bridge on its own is strong enough having a flat 15% damage increase with no requirements is just absurd

To all you nay sayers trying so hard to save your cheese famas alpha bridge... you killed the dark zone with your copy cut googled youtube builds

90% of the servers I go into now is alpha famas.

sure other builds are fun but never as effective as flat damage increase. Many other builds are just harder in general many of them can be countered (Immunizer for example)

You can sit there and try to defend this ******** just like how you try to defend SMG Sentry/ Shotguns back in the 1.1-1.3days. You know its too strong you are just desperate losing another build that carries you.

Every youtuber who talk about builds know it/uses it. ALL of the top players streaming on twitch know it using nothing but it. Yet every time I come into this forum people deny it up and down trying so hard to down play it.

What confuses me is how it slipped past the devs. Did they not thoroughly test sets/builds before putting them in the game? How did "Tanky players" and "DPS build" get overlooked? Was it even overlooked at all? If not then how did they expect us to react?

Pro tip: "End game" doesn't translate to "Doing more damage and taking more hits". that's actually a very small part of end game content. As is loot. Unless it's a game focused on where all loot must be used (like Rimworld and other building games for example. OH! Like survival in this game!).

I just like the old days where we only have HE gears and have this balanced PVP where no one has an OP build.

Alpha Bridge needs to be rework, like instead of all weapon talents, why not the two talents from each weapon will be only active and the third talents from each weapon will be disabled? (pssst, that's a nerf right?)

It doesn't matter what you farm or how you farm it or how fast. What matters is that we cannot truly craft anything in game, and are left to play with the 1 arm bandit that's the assembly table (won't call it crafting table).
