    Survival fun but not rewarding

I like the way survival was made you start with nothing but a pistol and you have to grind your way to the darkzone dealing with cold , food , water and of course infection.
A good survival game take about 40min to 1 hours and if you manage to kill some bosses and extract you can get arround 10-12 caches in my opinion its not enought.
Most of the time your not gonna be able to finish your survival game and if you manage to do so you dont have much time to farm bosses in the darkzone to realy make your time worth.

Right now were getting way more loot farming 1 hours in the DZ/ LZ vs survival

In my opinion you should get 1 survival cache for entering the darkzone and 1 survival cache if you killed 1 player or in PVE revived one player with medkit.
That way survival still can be a good source of loot without actualy wasting your time.

I agree but more on the quality of the items received. Just got done a survival, got a ton of high end weapons that were useless compared to my current set. To add insult to injury I end up getting more specialized gear from the lexington center on "hard" than the long grind of survival.

Sounds like you need to learn to play the gamemode, you should be extracting 6 survival caches, you get a stupid amount of loot if successful it might not be the quickest way to farm but if you're playing it for loot then you're doing it wrong.

Thanks for the feedback. It is possible to get a lot of loot from Survival, but it all depends on how you play. If you rush for the extraction to get out, you will end up with whatever caches you pick up as well as the reward for your score. Alternatively you can spend time clearing out landmarks which will each provide you with a Survival cache pretty quickly if you are efficient and buy more time with medicine.

The ideas you present of reaching or achieving certain objectives during Survival is interesting, would be curious to see that idea expanded on to see what is appropriate + how you would reward someone for that (more loot when you extract? or more caches/items in game that can potentially be lost during the session?).

Why can't we extract the same amount of items as the dz, that would make more sense I hate having to leave survival caches laying about as I'm already full on them.

I would like to see 1 change to the Survival Caches though:

It seems as if they're weighted to drop 2 1.5 style weapons/pieces. Loads of FAMAS's, Model 700's, ... I'd change this to just 1 per Survival Cache so the other items are more likely to drop other stuff.

Currently I'm contemplating just extracting Gear Caches or Weapon Caches depending on my needs because of this.

Also, as Nopvedz4you pointed out, it would be neat if we could carry more. I've done 20K+ score runs before where I cleared all landmarks but 1 and that's a whole lot more potential loot if I just could've picked it up.

If anything, I wouldn't change to much but make Survival Caches even more valuable. Survival Caches you have to work for (landmarks, bosses), the other ones you can just pick up.

I think survival caches should contain 2 greens and 2 high ends as the majority of items are gold which is no good to me but good for credits!

Pretty much. At this point it feels more sensible to pick up what you need rather then go full lottery with quantity in Survival Caches. 1 guaranteed GS piece and only 1 weighted gun/etc towards the 1.5 pool of weapons/gear would be nice.

One exception to the rule is named pieces, I'd put those on par with GS pieces.

I think survival is the only part of the game worth playing anymore, and you're right, it's terribly unrewarding because the finish rates are so low and we're capped at 6 caches...

Finish rates for who? It's evident to me after playing alot of survival there's some really bad players out there. My last run I was last one in dz and still had 30mins left on timer, so I decided to extract as there was no one left to kill smh
