Like Survival PVP Pure SOLO, open world, 64 players on entire map?... I am sure Massive is working on something like that.

if items had mass as a function of the items power and added to total player mass, and movement speed and acceleration was a function of player mass then lightly geared players could outrun heavily geared players. a player might toss their loot bag to increase movement speed.
There should be a cool down or Stamina bar from Sprinting. And then have a new attribute they can roll on gear called "Weight"... lighter gear means more sprinting.

The best way to fix the DZ is to ban the cheats ... ROGUES TELEPORT , FLOAT UP BUILDINGS , SHOOT THROUGH WALLS , ONE SHOT KILLS , ETC ETC...All this ideas put to ubi is killing the game we do not need more nerfs , the world tier already cuts you in half... even the NPC shoot around corners when you are in cover...... FIX THE BUGS AND THE CHEATS FIRST..

And players would obviously exploit it resulting in an even more broken game and even more toxicity on the forums. The idea is as stupid as your single player DZ solution in a team based game.

So lemme get this straight: the only reason team members aren't killing their own teammates is because they're literally not allowed to do it?

In that case, sounds like teams are the problem, and the DZ should be an enforced solo affair: no teams, no comms.

What? If something is exploitable, like as you say - the ability to kill your own team members in game, it will be exploited. 100% guaranteed. Just think about what you've come up with here for a moment. Just imagine the forums. Imagine the daily rage posts about team members purposely killing other members on your own team. Its a ******ed idea.

Another stupid idea is to make the DZ a single player experience. The whole game is based around team play. All you'd get is everyone running the exact same build. If it were every man for themselves type of gameplay most gearsets would become instantly redundant and any type or team synergy from gearsets is lost.

Its like all those people that like to call you out for a 1v1 in a team based game. Sure i'll just swap to my AB, savage, Barrets set. Whats the ****ing point?

So the answer is yes: the only reason Division players don't kill their teammates is that they are literally prevented from doing so.

Well, that's the kind of player the devs wanted, so "working as intended."

People would purposely kill their own group members.
Then that's not your problem. They advertise DZ as a harsh place, where everyone can be your friend, or foe. And right now, there are some instance that other group will let you join their party and they will kill you immediately, so what's the difference?

The game IS "working as intended" as you quite rightly CAN'T shoot and kill your own team mates.

Actually the difference would be huge.

I have 1200 hours in this game and use random matchmaking 98% of the time. I have been kicked and set upon only twice in that time. So this, just isn't a big issue.

Having the ability to kill your own team members either accidentally or on purpose would be a HUGE issue. Players (not everyone) would exploit it. Just for the soul reason of making your day miserable. Its called trolling.
