Lets get this out of the way now.. yes this game has had a rocky start..yes this game can be frustrating due to the pure fact that it is a build based game meaning that like in life yes its not fair. People in this community need to start realizing that not everyone has equivalent gear and therefore people that know how to make builds better "should" do better than you. The amount of times i hear people say that someone else is trash, or a "bad" player is a ridiculous amount. In this game knowledge is power. If you don't know how to make a build you will not do anywhere near as well as an experienced player. keeping this in mind people in this community need to stop thinking that they are the best player out there and that any time they die from something consistently that it means the build is "OP". Predator does what predator is supposed to. alpha does what alpha is supposed to. I don't even want to get into the simple fact that when Ubisoft first started nerfing things that people liked everyone was disappointed. The way Ubisoft likes to word it is balancing but really they mean we are nerfing the build that the community complains about the most. We as the community need to start realizing that in a build game there will always be one or two builds that are slightly better than the others. How about instead of doing what weve done since the beginning by nerfing the useful and good gear sets we start brainstorming ideas of new gear or sets that can counter these builds. This will not only keep existing players happy but create a meta of more than just one primary build. The simple fact about nerfing things is that once you nerf one build the next best build becomes "OP". By taking the mindset out of the community that the way to fix this game is to nerf things and change this to how can we balance this by making a counter to this build. We create a meta of more diverse builds and stop limiting ourselves to only one or two successful builds per meta. The reason why people liked 1.1 and 1.2 so much was because high ends had more of a role in these metas. High ends create more diversity because it allows more customization to the game and how you want to play. So instead of nerfing our pre-existing builds we need to start adding in more things so that we can once again go to a more competitive yet fun time where we arent all wearing the same variation of an alpha bridge or predator build. This in mind I am not saying that some nerfing or re balancing shouldnt happen yes the 1.5 update tweaks were a great starting point in sending this game in the right direction but we need to focus more on adding things than nerfing our already dwindling selection of builds.
you are absolutly right dude.everyone thinks he can evaluate if setup a) fits better to a playstyle from someone as setup b) without knowing anything about the player himself.people are fast in giving advice they advocate on their own of course.one thing added, as long as people are satisfied with looking on youtube whats the current build to got for they neglect their ability to develop own builds noone has on his radar or map. what you dont know you cant prepare against, its that easy.
I kind of agree with your point, but at this time, I don't think that it's possible to achieve the balance needed. It's just too big to change, and it's obvious that it was not well planned out from the start. If it had been, this entire discussion wouldn't be happening now.Originally Posted by deathviper9933 Go to original post
Lol this thread is going to be followed by 17 other ones saying the game is to hard ect... personally I feel this is partially due to loot to some degree not being gated behind more difficult content, if you can get the best loot in the game from pushing over super weak enemies, there really isn't a reason to try to get better..........Then that person tries out the darkzone and gets smashed.Lets get this out of the way now.. yes this game has had a rocky start..yes this game can be frustrating due to the pure fact that it is a build based game meaning that like in life yes its not fair. People say its all about gear in this game, and it is to an extent but if you don't know tactics ect... all the loot in the world won't save you
I just wanted to break it up for others to read better so that you can better get your point across and have more people read your post.Originally Posted by deathviper9933 Go to original post
I also wouldn't say "The community" as a whole, you are part of the community as well.
The community for this game is severely divided on a number of issues,
loot falling from the sky vs harder task better reward (earned)
DZ as intended vs PVE only DZ vs PVP arena (option not replacing DZ)
Console vs PC (hard to balance out weapons when some people are using a controller vs mouse/keyboard-harder to aim, check your surounds ect...)
Enemies are too hard vs to weak
Solo survival should be Solo vs allow grouping in "solo" ques
RNG on gear and stats vs fixed stats vs keep RNG stats but drop more stuff (especially named gear)
Game mode(UG/Survival) DLC vs Main story/expansion styled DLC
so on
and
so on
and
so on
Between the nature of the DZ, multi platform balancing, RNG on top of RNG for loot drops and people not being able to figure out stat priorities there are more reasons for people to disagree in this game than almost any other game iv been active in (and paid attention to the forums) for the past 15 years.
Most games have the "to weak to hard" enemy argument, and weapons/gear balancing suggestions ect. Just seems people are either super far on one side or super far on the other for this game.
I personally think the PVE currently is to easy(Im on PC so might be keyboard/mouse thing), the loot should be harder task, better reward, I want it to feel earned, did 2 hours of tough content and got this awsome _______ "yes!"(quality over quantity) not man I ran 250 super easy missions and got _________(if you do get a good drop on something easy it doesn't feel exciting in fact it feels like, **** about time, for me anyway), DZ should be left alone(even though I don't go in it) but there should be a PVP arena, PVP survival if you que solo shouldn't have the option for grouping.
I fall into a weird spot with this game, I like it a lot but if you are like me and mainly PVE- the game becomes not very challenging relatively quick- took me a week in 1.5 to get gear good enough to beet any of the PVE content (survival was fun for a couple of weeks to but PVE is easy in my opinion to and got stale)
PVP does offer more of a challenge but I don't really like how it is implemented at the moment, would prefer an arena, have had hacker issues, 4 man premader groups queing for survival solo and then 4v1 the map, ect....
So I haven't played for a week or 2 and probably won't until new PVE mechanics/difficulty/new content is changed/added or PVP in 1.6 is something I would want to do. This isn't a threat or hey do what I wan't or im not gonna play statement, I'm just stating the facts for my situation with the game.
There are however a ton of people who would disagree with all if not most of what I think.
