    COVER BASED game or build?

So they still claim its a cover based tactical game. But they did the huge mistake of making weapons and gear and talents be the buff for cover or cover to cover tactics.

What i mean is that the game shoud have all of this unlocked for All players. All player should have this automaticaly and not be forced to make a build for it:

    All players have:

    10% more armour in cover.

10% more damage to out of cover enemies while your in cover.

10% more damage taken while out of cover.

Stability and acuracy increase by 20% while in cover.

You take 40% less damage during cover to cover.

You can only use a medpack IN cover.

    .......

Something along these lines would have been better and PVP would really change.

They screwedup the minute they decided to make these things talents and gear sets and weapons etc... these are basic things that should just be there for all players period... see how fast the pros and casuals will use cover a lot more!

I might be wrong though...who am I to suggest this.

Pretty sure this has been suggested before, I'm all for a more tactical approach to TD but I think it's too far down the line for things like this to change, maybe in TD 2!

Or they could simply give the same buff you get with Assault Shield when in cover

OMG, yet another cover thread. Let me add one more thing: while out of cover there's a huge chance to step into dog ****. You can't move or do anything else while you clean it off. Not cleaning it off will start to fill up a vomit-meter. Once filled you are forced to puke all over the place.

That's exactly how stupid you guys sound. Nobody gives a damn about the game's description. They even call it an "RPG", but there is no dialogue ANYWHERE which is pretty much mandatory for every true RPG, yet you don't see people crying about it, so man the fk up and let this thread sink to the bottom where all the other countless similar threads are and enjoy the game.

Well it certainly is not a shooter, worse shooting mechanics of any game I have ever played.

This game will never be a cover based shooter never.

•NPC are simply just to spongy. If you don't go the route like ghost recon where you can 3 shot an NOP and they can do the same back then theres no point of taking cover as you'll constantly need to run around because NPC just walk through a barrage of fire

    • Armor is simply just to OP. Doesn't help being able to mitigate 70% of damage. Ontop of the 150k+ health people have. And the immediate panic buttons like med-kits and first aid skills

    • This comes back to being a spongy problem but NPC rush you to much simply cause you can't kill them fast enough cause again they just walk and soak up any bullets shot at them

    • NPC are simply just to stupid. They never take cover giving you those tactical fights to begin with

    • Constant spam from NPC grenades and all that stuff where you always need to roll around every 3 seconds dodging the red circles.

Everything that was wrong with this game in the past is still wrong. People can say what ever they want about patch 1.4 but it changed absolutely nothing. All it did was dumb the game down.

Seriously people are wasting their time playing this game. What you're playing is what the game will always be it's not going to change. This game will never be a true cover based tactical shooter like Rainbow Six Vegas, Ghost recon future soldier/ Advanced Warfighter etc...

Massive doesn't know anything about a cover based game, they clearly know nothing about RPG games if they did then this game wouldn't be the way it is. But any ways games dead just move on, believe me you'll be a lot happier and may actually enjoy games again if you just give up on this abomination of a game. May I suggest true RPG games like Skyrim, some witcher 3, Borderlands those are some really great games. Or if you want those strategic tactical shooter then wait for ghost recon wildlands in march.
