3 pieces of Nomad
and
3 pieces of Alphabridge
The idea here was that the 3 piece for Nomad grants you continuous minor health regen so you can regen all of your health segments, even when in combat, and the 3 piece AB bonus is the 100% Health regen. You see where I'm going with this?
Now I will admit I just threw it together, nothing was optimized at all. The effects do not kick in in combat unless you take cover and stop taking damage for a second or two, but that's literally all it takes, so if you are moving cover to cover and not getting hit, the two perks kick in and your entire health bar refills almost as fast as it does when in the safe zones and outside of combat altogether.
dps was low, about 230k, toughness was also a bit low, at 335k, with about 50% armor ( like I said, not optimized at all) but electronics were 166k, and I rolled all Performance mods for the Turret, so turret health, dmg, and duration.
I combined that with my 256 Liberator for the skill power boost, which put me at 198k skillpower, putting the turret damage at almost 4k dmg per bullet, and nearly 400k health for the turret itsel. That's dirty. So dirty.
Ran around with a buddy and his D3-FNC build, and he was saying several times that it was literally like having a third man with us in terms of firepower. Granted he killed a whole lot faster than I did, but if I focused on the target the turret was, they would get burnt down fairly quick. I've watched the Turret alone burn down an entire World tier 5 elite armor bar and health by itself. Takes a little while, but it was nice knowing that I could put it up high and it would actually DO work.
Couple that with the insane health regen in combat and I think I went down maybe once, and that was from my own ignorance ( got too big for my britches)
It's probably not well suited for the DZ, as far as the AB talents go, but if you wanted survivability, this set definitely allows you to regen all of your health without needing first aid, or a support station, or having to pop a medkit (which you could then save for those oh crap moments). It's powerful enough to completey regen your health even when actively under Bleed.
1. Drop the 3 piece AB.... 2 piece AB, 3 Piece Nomad, Steadfast Holster (health regen kicks in twice as fast while in cover.
or
2. 2 piece Nomad, 4 Piece AB with predatory is the best self heal skill the game.
AB 2 piece and Nomad 3 piece are easily the worst gear set talent in the game. 3 piece Nomad is especially pathetic.
2 piece nomad makes them both irrelevant since health on kill breaks through the health segments anyway.
My suggestion is the what I just said or just going 3 piece Firecrest for a better turret.
100% Health Regen is far from useless...Originally Posted by S3anS3an Go to original post
How...its cant break through health segments, its on a delay, and you get it when combat is over or out of combat anyway.Originally Posted by sandpants Go to original post
Health on kill and preditory breaks through health segments and you get it during combat.
Please tell me how going to full health in cover 1-2 seconds faster is worth giving up a 2 pieces of high end gear or 15% health on kill?
Hell the old AB 2 piece (2 extra med kits) was way better than 100% health regen.
How is it worth giving up 2 pieces of gear? Because it was a fun idea at the time. This is far from being a end game all powerful DZ PvP pro uber L77T build lol
It's far from useless when all I have to do is duck into cover for a few seconds, which allows me to cover to cover and flank anyways, and by the time I do so, my entire health bar has regenerated.
However, I do want to try and get that steadfast holster you mentioned.
The 3 part Nomads allows you to regen all segments in combat, and the 3 part AB allows 100% regen speed.
I was primarily using it as a supportive build. I had decently high skill power and electronics, so my turret and health box with ammo option was able to support my friend easily, as he would often run out of ammo in his MP7 with his D3 build.
This build isn't to be a pvp powerhouse. It was just a messing around and thrown together setup that worked surprisingly well.
Because it's 7.5% HP regen in combat that is always on when you have Enduring in the last health segment and takes 2s to trigger when you have Steadfast in any other segment, which is 2s away from equating to whatever Nomad gives.Originally Posted by S3anS3an Go to original post
That's 14k HP/s restored for your typical 6.5k Stamina build. Considering it's basically 3 pieces used up, and it's free healing, it is absolutely baller. It keeps you topped up in the last health segment and maintains Unforgiving. It mitigates damage in PvP, considering most shots in PvP do like 5-6k damage.
The point isn't which of the 2 is best. All of it contributes to free healing which alleviates the pressure from medkit / first aid cooldowns. Health on kill pushes you into another health segment, AB 2pc and Enduring/Steadfast does the rest.
The small heal from 3 piece Nomad will also push you into another segment, in or out of combat. That's why it works so well with 2 piece Alpha and the Steadfast holster.Originally Posted by sandpants Go to original post
Unfortunately with the way damage mitigation is used Id rather have booster shot (10% damage and damage mitigation than Enduring/Steadfast and 2 piece AB.Originally Posted by sandpants Go to original post
Combine that with Barrets chest bonus of 10% armor for 2 skills being on cooldown your toughness will be well over 1 million. That damage mitigation is further compounded by Health on Kill and Preditory bonuses. With your method you giving up a ton of survivability and a mechanic that is seriously broken at the moment.
Healing is cute but Damage mitigation is ruling this game at the moment. You can use Barrets/Savage for more damage or Barrets/Techincal backpack for a better skills.
