    While in combat.

Are you guys (and gals)over at Massive EVER going to fix this? How many patches, maintenence projects, or DLCs is it going to take before you finally fix one of the most FRUSTRATING issues in the whole game?Every time this happens (10 times a day) I want to throw my control through the TV. I AM SICK OF IT!!!!!!! If I send out a pulse and no threats are found......I AM NOT IN COMBAT!!!!

Please already. This is stupid. The NPC overload every where you go in the DZ is bad enough. Then after spending forever killing them all you STILL cannot enter the "safe" house. It's seriously easier just to die than deal with the frustration.

Don't run past mobs. Kill them. You hear either of the warning tones, light them up. That way, you're alive and out of combat, or dead.

You'll see red blips on the compass showing where the aware enemies are. If people could just zoom past and leave enemies, players or NPCS, behind then they'd have too easy a time of getting the loot and leaving easily then coming back with zero danger.

Work for what you get. You go into DZ for a reason. If you're getting chased IRL and there's a door what do you think happens? They'd be waiting just out of reach until you approach it and then close in and kill you the moment you try to open it. So the way things are set now, it adds to immersion as well. If you're too lazy to even kill the mobs you come across then that's on your head, not the devs. Run FAR away from them as you would from the cops in GTA and you'll lose their scent. That too is up to you, not the devs.

What's up to the devs is having the enemy remain on alert when they can't see you. Which is immersive. And very much in line with RPG.

You ran past me after taking a pot shot. Think I'm going to stand down just because I'm not near you after running away? Nope, I'm going to aim at that door waiting for you to try and open it. And you can't say that you've pulsed snipers when they're far away. Those tie in with NPCs and players both. Infact, pulse has short range compared to the range that NPCs can fire at you. The thing is they might not see you because things are blocking their (and also your) sight. But the game doesn't factor that in. It goes "There's a threat over there we can't yet see but know is there". You're in a narrow street. Of course they know you're there even though they can't see you. Because they saw you heading down that street. So it's not like we can immersivly shake them off in this case either.

Sure guys. No threats within 60m of my pulse and I am in combat and was too lazy to kill the NPCs. Yeah. OK

Well Iran past a mob in DZ at the intersection and ran to a DZ door down that narrow street and... got through it?

    I dunno. You tell me.

You probably ran past a mob too close to the door. If they KNOW you're at that DEAD END then that's that. Deal with it. Even I have too sometimes. Kill them and move on. If nothing else it's more XP for another cache.

I'm with Blood on this, has happened to me on multiple occasions. Haven't aggro'd npc/players, no red on hud, yet somehow I'm in combat. Generally I just run down the street a little ways and then back to the door, which seems to get me out of combat for some reason.

So... you retreat the moment you come across a mob? Yea, if you do that you will get stuck and have to fight or hide for a while until they stand down. Happened to me the first few times too. What's worse then that is when you get over a wall and end up stuck there without being able to retreat.

You know what prevents that? Having a plan and going in prepared. And a partner helps big time. Something like more side ally ways could help near the doors and walls though. Like right near where you go in. Might help with PVP too as it would mean more room to move around.

Anyway, if you get that stuck then ask someone you know to help get you out of the mess. If you don't know anyone that's online then try random people in the area? They may or may not help. Depends if there's the helpful types around in DZ or not I guess.

On the one hand it does feel like there could be a sort of solution to this. On the other... it what gets players to help each other.

Um, retreat from what? I approach a door (having not shot or been shot at for a good minute for two) and the game tells me I'm in combat. I go down the street away from the door, and then right back to it, magically I'm out of combat.

Which mob ? The one he clearly says doesn't exist, " Haven't aggro'd npc/players, no red on hud,"

I also get this issue many many times, and it's infuriating, try and understand the issue, some people kill every enemy in sight, every enemy that shows up on their radar, and there are no more enemies in the area, yet still the game classes them as still being in combat, when there are no enemies around, got that ? NO enemies around.

I can tell you that distance between the south western checkpoint in DZ1 and the central southern checkpoint is about 840 feet, I know because i've taken note after running backwards & forwards between the two point without seeing an enemy, at all, anywhere, and after having killed both bosses & their buddies in DZ1, and cleared the subways, and yet still have not been able to exit at either of those 2 checkpoints.

Sometimes if you move to one side of the doorway the in combat message will clear, but it seems to be fairly random, either way it is an issue, and has been reported by other weeks and probably months ago.
